Founded by PGA Tour golfer Harold Varner III. Our mission is to provide affordable access to youth in sports.

We’re excited to welcome James “Jim” Mullen as the next President and leader of the HV3 Foundation.

Since 2019, the HV3 Foundation has worked to provide youth with opportunity through mentoring, engagement, and sport. Jim joins us with more than two decades of experience in leadership, relationship building, and fundraising, most recently serving as President and CEO of Catholic Charities in Cleveland and previously United Way in Akron.

“Changing lives is not done without rolling your sleeves up,” Jim shared. “What Harold has put into play allows a community to wrap their arms around a child and change lives one at a time, for generations to come. I couldn’t be happier to work with Harold and this dedicated board to impact kids.”

Harold Varner III added, “We took our time and looked far and wide for the right leader. James is the guy who can take our work to another level and drive real impact for the kids we serve. We couldn’t be more excited.”

Today, the HV3 Foundation partners with organizations across North and South Carolina and Northeast Ohio, supporting nearly 200 youth through our mentorship programs. With Jim’s leadership, we’re ready to grow that impact even further.

What an incredible night at the HV3 Foundation Gala at . The cocktail party was filled with the supporters, partners, and friends who truly make our foundation run, and we are deeply thankful for each of you. Thank you for your continued belief in our mission and for making this evening so special. We’re grateful to Myers Park for providing such a beautiful setting for an unforgettable night. The inaugural HV3 Foundation Kids Cup did not disappoint.

The kids showed up ready.

Some of the youngest golfers we’ve ever seen hit the course with confidence, joy, and heart — and watching families experience the game together made it even better.

Our Kiawah Retreat gave us space for meaningful connection, an intimate gathering, and a great rounds of golf at Cassique. These retreats are important because they give us space to reflect, revise, and plan for an even stronger HV3 Foundation future.
