Hello Sunday Assembly Charlotte friends! This month marks the 4th anniversary of the SACLT launch. This fourth year has been our most challenging, to date, and has taken a toll on us members of the Leadership Team. Consequently, we are taking a break from planning/hosting the monthly Assemblies for the next few months. Our smoups will continue and we will be posting fun social events here and there over the next several weeks, so keep an eye out for Meet Up and Facebook events, starting with a Roundtable Discussion with Lynn Miller about supportive housing, next Sunday at Amelie’s, Park Rd location. We will also be scheduling a meeting in October to discuss visions for the future of SACLT! There are good things on the horizon!

Today was SO MUCH FUN! Singing Closer to Fine while Grace danced like a chicken at the Assembly, talking marriage at Zoe’s, and celebrating love at Pride.

FYI - After 4 years serving in leadership of Sunday Assembly Charlotte, I have officially stepped down from the Board of Directors. I will still be around as an individual contributor, helping with our web presence and social media (and general IT stuff), but outside of that, I'm no longer in a decision-making role. Courtney Anne Tooker has stepped up to fill my slot as President of the Board of Directors, so wish her luck! This year we have had a much-needed infusion of youth into our Board of Directors, with Courtney and Joshua Willis joining the board in April. I have much hope that, with new leadership and new ideas, we can see some positive developments for our little community. Thank you all for the opportunity!
