IUI or IVF? What’s the difference and which one is the right option?

Explained simply:

IUI: s***m is placed directly into the uterus around ovulation. Less invasive, lower cost, often tried first.

IVF: eggs are retrieved, fertilized in a lab, and an embryo is transferred back. More steps, higher cost, higher success per cycle.

Neither one is a failure and neither one is a guarantee. Which makes sense depends on your diagnosis, your history, and what you’re willing to take on right now.

Shades of Hope walks through options, timelines, and what to expect, with a fertility educator and two licensed therapists in the room.

$197 through August 24. Link in bio.

Join us on Instagram Thursday, August 27 at 12:00 PM ET. Nichelle, Whitney, and Tiffany will be answering questions about Shades of Hope, our six-week fertility education and wellness program for Black women and birthing people.

We’ll walk through what the program actually covers, introduce ourselves properly, and take your questions live.

Have you walked out of fertility appointments with more questions than you walked in with?

Here are five questions worth bringing with you. Screenshot them. Read them off your phone if you need to.

Shades of Hope spends real time on this: how to navigate your clinic, understand what you’re being told, and advocate for the care you deserve.

$197 through August 24. Begins September 8. Link in bio.

Sometimes people don’t know what to say. And in return, you don’t know how to respond.

Most people mean well when we open up about fertility. They’re reaching for something comforting. But well-intended isn’t the same as helpful, and a lot of what gets said still lands hard and it still brings something up in you.

Shades of Hope helps you navigate those conversations. How to respond. How to be honest when you want to be, and how to opt out when you don’t.

It also includes two sessions your support person can attend with you. Because sometimes the most useful thing isn’t learning what to say yourself, but it’s having someone who can carry that part for you, and speak up on your behalf so you don’t have to explain it again.

Six weeks. Registration is open, $197 through August 24. Link in bio.
