It’s been a minute since we properly introduced ourselves. And we’ve been building, expanding, and rebranding!

Raising Resilience has grown into something we are continuously proud of. More therapists, more support groups, more offerings for both moms and providers. And we are expanding how we think about maternal mental health to include the whole person, the whole body. If you’ve been seeing our Pilates events lately, that’s exactly what that’s about.

We are so deeply honored and grateful to do this work. To be able to share our gifts and passion for Black maternal mental health. We’ve supported so many women and families through the most vulnerable and meaningful transitions in their lives and we do not take that lightly. Thank you for choosing us.

And honestly, you have helped us just as much. We are in awe of the way this community has welcomed us into their lives and made us a part of them. Raising Resilience is not about us. It’s for us, by us. A safe haven for Black mothers, women, and families.

To those who have been here since the beginning, you’ve watched us grow in real time and that means everything. If you just found us, we’re so glad you did.

Whether you’re a mom looking for support, a provider looking to grow, or you just want to learn more about what we do, we’d love to connect.

With love,
Tiffany + Whitney 💕

Guilt is information. It’s telling you something, but it’s not always telling you the truth.

Mom guilt doesn’t have to take over. But it does need to be acknowledged.

The next time it shows up, try moving through these five steps before letting it make any decisions for you.

Notice it. Name it. Reframe it. Acknowledge it. Release it.

Save this for when you need it. And if guilt has been living in your body for longer than a moment, these tools are a start but you deserve real support too.

The next time guilt shows up (and it will) try this:

Instead of asking “what am I doing wrong?” ask “what am I doing differently?”

What is it that goes against the definition of a “good mom” that you’ve been handed?

How are you parenting differently than the people around you?

Is it actually “bad” or is it just unfamiliar?

Those are not the same thing. And that question changes everything. We’re always here to help you answer it. Link in bio for support.

Save this for the next time you need it. 🤎

Mom guilt is one of the most common things we see in our work with mothers. And one of the most misunderstood.

Because it doesn’t always feel like guilt. It feels like caring. Like being responsible. Like wanting to get it right for your kids.

But when we dig deep, it almost always leads to a standard that was never yours to begin with. A bar set by society, by family, by the highlight reels you scroll through every day. A standard that keeps moving no matter how hard you try to meet it.

You are not failing. You are being measured against something impossible. And you deserve support that helps you see the difference.

Motherhood is one of those IYKYK things. It’s hard to feel fully prepared for all that this journey entails — not just the beautiful parts, but the hard ones too.

No matter what your experience has been, you don’t have to make sense of it alone. We’re here to hold you through all of it.

We know pilates can look intimidating. Especially when everything you see online is smaller women in matching sets doing movements that look like a performance.

That’s not what pilates is for us at Raising Resilience.

For us, pilates isn’t a trend. It’s a saving grace.
It’s one of the most powerful tools we’ve found for helping moms come back to themselves — especially after a lifetime of experiences that quietly pull us out of our own bodies.

Embodiment is the work.

The mind-body connection is the goal.

Learning to hear what the body that carries you through this beautiful life is actually asking for — that’s the practice.

So here’s your permission slip:
Show up exactly as you are. Every shape. Every size. Every level. Wear the cute set if you want to — you deserve to feel good. Or don’t. Either way, you belong here.

Wellness was always meant for you too.

Have you’ve been wondering why or how we are incorporating pilates into Raising Resilience?

Well, we’re glad you asked!

Here’s what we’ve come to understand in this work — the mind and body process healing differently. And moms deserve access to both.

Your body was always yours.
HELD is where you come to remember that.

An evening designed for moms (mother figures, fertility warriors, caregivers, aunties, anyone who mothers in any capacity) who are ready to come back to themselves — and we made sure every detail reflects that.

Slow movement. Intentional breath. A mobile bar. Build your own açaí bowl. Flowers for every mom who walks through the door. A photo booth, skin care, B12, and community that holds you the whole night.

No experience needed.
Nothing to prove.
Just you, exactly as you are.

A portion of every ticket goes to our therapy fund — so another mom gets access to mental health care she couldn’t otherwise afford.

Come experience it with us.
