Deronda Metz is a native of Charlotte and is committed to serving her community as a leader and advocate on issues of homelessness, affordable housing and economic mobility.
She worked for The Salvation Army for more than 30 years providing leadership for the agency’s homeless and housing efforts. While serving in her job capacity at The Salvation Army, she expanded her focus and energy to include a community collaborative approach in addressing the issues of homelessness and housing in the Charlotte community. She is a constant voice for those that are marginalized on a local and national level and has been involved in several advocacy efforts that have resulted in affordable housing solutions. Deronda is excited to be a part of the Friendship CDC and is committed to working together to move its’ vision forward.
