Claire's Army strives to act as God's hands and feet by providing support for families fighting childhood cancer.

Claire’s Army was founded to support patient families in treatment for childhood cancer. We do this through one or more of our impact programs: Claire Packages, Meal Deliveries, and Emergency Assistance.

After seeing Claire’s Army support a friend, the Sharpe family wanted to find a way to give back. Their children hosted a lemonade stand, raising funds to help us continue showing up for families facing childhood cancer.

There’s something so special about watching the next generation choose to care for others, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have the Sharpe family as part of our growing Army.

When a family needs us, we work quickly—because sometimes there simply isn’t time to wait. We help make possible the moments that matter most, whether that means fulfilling a special wish, creating an experience together, providing bereavement support, or giving a family the space and resources to simply be with one another.

These moments may look different for every family, but they share the same purpose: making sure that, even in the hardest and most uncertain days, families have the opportunity to be together and create memories they can carry with them always.

Claire had an infectious spirit, a deep love for life, and a way of finding joy in everything she did. She loved big, laughed often, and brought light with her wherever she went.

Cancer took that life from Claire. And it has taken far too much from far too many children and families.

That is why we fight. For more time. More birthdays. More ordinary days. More childhoods lived fully.

For Claire, and for every child and family facing childhood cancer—we fight this month and every month. 💗

Within six months of a childhood cancer diagnosis, 1 in 4 families can losemore than 40% of their household income due to treatment-related disruptions to work.

For many parents, caring for their child means missing work, reducing hours or stepping away from a job entirely. At the same time, families are taking on new expenses for treatment, travel and extended hospital stays — while still paying for housing, utilities and everyday necessities.

In 2025, Claire’s Army provided $227,372 in emergency assistance to families facing childhood cancer, helping with rent, mortgages, utilities, transportation and more.

Childhood cancer changes far more than a child’s health. This month, we’re raising awareness of the full impact a diagnosis can have on an entire family. 🎗️💛

For families spending days, weeks or even months in the hospital, those meals mean more than food. A childhood cancer diagnosis can bring missed work, transportation costs, medications and countless unexpected expenses — creating financial strain at a time when a family’s focus should be on their child.

In 2025, Claire’s Army provided more than 2,100 free meals to families facing childhood cancer in Charlotte.

No parent should have to worry about how they’ll feed their family while also figuring out how to afford the next prescription, the next trip to the hospital or the bills waiting at home.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re reminded that supporting a child with cancer means supporting the entire family. Sometimes, that starts with something as simple as making sure everyone has a meal. 🎗️💛

96 Claire Packages. 96 newly diagnosed families. And that’s in Charlotte alone.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, there is rarely time to prepare. Families can go from an ordinary day to a hospital room in a matter of hours — and may stay there for weeks, or even months, without ever having the chance to pack a bag or plan for what comes next.
That’s why our Claire Packages exist.

Filled with practical necessities for both the child and caregiver, each package is designed to meet a family in those first overwhelming days and make life in the hospital just a little bit easier.

In 2025, Claire’s Army delivered 96 Claire Packages to newly diagnosed families in Charlotte. And Charlotte is just one city.

During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we remember that children in communities everywhere are receiving life-changing diagnoses every single day. Behind every number is a child, a family, and a life changed in an instant. 🎗️💛

Some friendships are formed in classrooms. On playgrounds. On soccer fields. Claire and Cede’s was formed inside the walls of a children’s hospital.

Despite their age difference, Claire and Cede quickly became best friends. They shared an experience most children never have to understand—one that can be incredibly isolating, but also creates bonds unlike any other.

Claire never had the chance to make her own friends at school or through sports. The people she loved and invited to her “parties” were fellow patients, her doctors and her nurses. They were her people.

That’s something we think about a lot during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, thousands of families are suddenly introduced to this same unfamiliar world, and nothing can prepare them for how much life changes overnight.

Claire’s Army was born inside those four walls. We’ve lived this road, and that experience shapes the way we show up for families today—with meals, financial support, moments of normalcy and a community that understands without needing an explanation.

Because when your world suddenly becomes hospital rooms, treatments and uncertainty, you deserve more than support.

You deserve an army that truly gets it. 💗
