Yesterday’s Christmas in July Santa Speedo Run 2026 Kickoff Pool Party was everything we hoped it would be - full of laughter, sunshine, community, holiday spirit, and excitement for what promises to be our biggest Santa Speedo Run yet! ❤️🎅☀️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined us, donated, volunteered, and helped kick off the season in such an incredible way.

🌈 Celebrating 18 years of progress, connection, and support. 💙

The first half of 2026 has been a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together.

Through the Twirl Assistance Program (TAP), we’ve provided nearly $65,000 in direct support, helping 220 LGBTQ+ individuals across the Charlotte region overcome financial barriers, access affirming mental health care, and build a stronger future.

Here’s the impact you’ve made possible:

🛒 Emergency Assistance
• $35,900 for groceries
• $1,650 for pharmacy needs
• $5,388 for transportation
• $42,938 in direct assistance supporting 129 individuals

📚 Financial Literacy
• $1,050 in grocery incentives
• 21 individuals completed financial literacy programming

🧠 Mental Health
• 231 therapy sessions
• 70 individuals received affirming mental health support
• $20,890 invested in mental wellness

Every dollar represents more than financial assistance—it represents hope, dignity, stability, and the knowledge that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.

💙 Quarter 2 Impact Update: Together, We’re Changing Lives

Every act of kindness creates a ripple of hope. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, community partners, and supporters, the Twirl Assistance Program (TAP) continued making a meaningful difference throughout the second quarter of 2026.

✨ Q2 2026 Impact
🌈 Nearly $34,000 invested back into our Charlotte LGBTQ+ community
❤️ 109 individuals supported

Through TAP, we provided:
🛒 $20,100 in grocery assistance
💊 $550 for pharmacy needs
🚗 $2,438 for transportation assistance
📚 $600 in Financial Literacy grocery incentives, helping 12 individuals strengthen their financial futures
🧠 $10,155 invested in affirming mental health services, providing 82 therapy sessions for 27 individuals

For 18 years, Twirl to the World Foundation has been committed to helping LGBTQ+ individuals and families overcome financial hardship while connecting them to the resources they need to thrive. These numbers represent more than dollars—they represent meals on the table, access to healthcare, transportation to work, improved financial confidence, and life-changing mental health support.
