American Alpine Club Charlotte NC Chapter The American Alpine Club is a non-profit member organization whose goal is "a united community of competent climbers and healthy climbing landscapes."

There’s a ground up tradition in North Carolina, and the Charlotte Chapter is no different. The chapter was born in early 2015 when some members organized a free rappelling clinic. Now the members have monthly social gatherings, or Alpine Pint Nights, at various watering holes around the city. Between crafty beverages, a motley crew of dedicated climbers is crafting new ways to give back to the br

oader climbing scene. They’ve hosted a book signing event and fundraiser, and have started a recurring clean up at their local crag. The Charlotte Chapter is focused on projects and people, striving to create healthy climbing landscapes and a stronger climbing community at the same time.
