In memory of Tucker McGirt, a beloved pet & best friend. Dedicated to helping all animals in need.

Mission Statement: Helping animals find forever homes in the Charlotte, NC area. The Tucker McGirt Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. We are an all volunteer organization whose mission is to save and improve the lives of companion animals by connecting people, resources and knowledge. We rescue and rehome animals from high intake, low adoption shelters where they are at risk, as well as private home situations where an animal can no longer be cared for. When you volunteer with The Tucker McGirt Foundation, you make a difference for homeless animals and for the people who love saving them. We were founded in 2022 as a way to remember the life of a beloved pet and best friend, Tucker. Recognizing the need to better the lives of homeless, abandoned, and abused animals in our community, our goal is to make a difference, one animal at a time. Our ability to change lives is directly dependent on the number of volunteers and foster homes available. If you want to help save animals while having fun with a group of like-minded people, we hope you’ll join us.

Happy International Cats Day!!
On the day that recognizes cats everywhere I thought I would present to you…
Bug a Boo
She’s the perfect cat- not to tall- not to short. Not to skinny and not to fat. She’s got a kitty face that everyone will have a comment about. She the epitome of the perfect cat!
She makes biscuits with those perfectly cute paws everywhere! In the air, on her bed, on your leg, on the shelf- you name it and she’s there kneading you some biscuits!
She’s the perfect age- not to young and not to old at 1yr and 2 months old.
Totally up to date, spayed and chipped. Triple test negative.
And just look at those beautiful emerald green eyes! I mean what else could you possibly ask for in a cat??
Come and see for yourself at the Pet Sense in Lake Wylie.

Ps- as with any new adoption, give her a minute to decompress-but it only took her a day to come out and ask for hugs and kisses. Once she knows she’s home and you are her person there will be no holding her back!
