Mission Statement: Helping animals find forever homes in the Charlotte, NC area. The Tucker McGirt Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. We are an all volunteer organization whose mission is to save and improve the lives of companion animals by connecting people, resources and knowledge. We rescue and rehome animals from high intake, low adoption shelters where they are at risk, as we

ll as private home situations where an animal can no longer be cared for. When you volunteer with The Tucker McGirt Foundation, you make a difference for homeless animals and for the people who love saving them. We were founded in 2022 as a way to remember the life of a beloved pet and best friend, Tucker. Recognizing the need to better the lives of homeless, abandoned, and abused animals in our community, our goal is to make a difference, one animal at a time. Our ability to change lives is directly dependent on the number of volunteers and foster homes available. If you want to help save animals while having fun with a group of like-minded people, we hope you’ll join us.

Like I said- Diva! But an oh so sweet one!

Meet Blink
Have you ever met a sweet “Diva”?
Most divas are not so sweet and very high maintenance! Not this girl- she just has a couple of diva like tendencies, as long as you give her these couple things she will be a total sweetheart!
Sweet stuff first-
This girl wants nothing more than a forever home to call her own - a lap to call her own! Being blind it takes her a little longer to acclimate than a normal kitty, please keep this in mind. Her latest foster mom says She absolutely adores other dogs and cats, that she is super sweet and very playful.
She is a beauty with her plush tortie coat!
2 years and 10 mo old
Spayed- up to date on all vaccines.
She has a HUGE personality that she’s just waiting to share with you.
She is not a fan of loud noises and will hide when she’s frightened. We recommend holding her while letting her hear noises like the vacuum cleaner, washing machine, dishwasher etc.
She will acclimate- it just takes her a minute!
When she gets frightened or unsure of her situation she will turn in circles, her foster mom just gently picks her up and gives her some reassurance and all is right with her world again!
Her one diva issue is
Cat litter… 😜
She absolutely hates putting her pampered little toes in litter- any litter…
Pellets, paper, crystals or clay, doesn’t matter she’s not going for it!
However she approves highly of p*e p*e pads! Makes it very easy to clean up after her, no more scooping litter boxes- just roll up the pad and throw it in the trash! Easy peasy!
