The Pansy Willis Project is a nonprofit organization that exists to offer education, Liberal Arts and community outreach by collaborating with other organizations within the Charlotte area. By using elements like:
• competence enhancing activities
• confidence building
• creating a sense of belonging
We will do our part to help produce positive and progressive changes in today’s youth. The Pansy

Willis Project provides our local community youth with a positive environment to cultivate their talents as well as promote self-worth and a sense of belonging. Our young people need to feel by valued and encouraged in order to be positive vocal influences amongst their peers. They need a safe, structured environment with freedom to express their selves and grow into functioning members of society. Currently, there is a lack of youth programs that are geared to things teens actually enjoy doing, like music and art. The kids today are losing places where they can go and express themselves creatively. Music alone is a great influence on the kids of today and all across the country schools are losing funding for Music and Art programs. Our organization empowers the youth to think of events that:
• have a positive meaning/message
• Fun
• Are open to all diversities and ethnicities
• Can raise money to host other events
• Raise awareness about a cause or issue
By encouraging volunteerism at our fundraising events, unskilled youth get first-hand experience in the customer service and Liberal Arts industry. The experience provides them a learning environment that teaches teamwork, effective communication, event planning, administrative skills and much more.

Good Day everyone....the next mixer at UpRoar is set for March 28th 5pm at 5500 N. Tryon St. The school conducted a parent survey to gather what type of services they are in need of:
The results from the survey.

First Choice: Food Resources
Second Choice: Employment Resources
Third Choice: Housing Resources

91.7% indicated they would participate in support groups and/or counseling services offered.

If you or an organization you know of can provide a service or information in one of those categories please inbox me, email me at [email protected] or text Apryl at 704-912-9294 by March 26th so the information can be distributed to the parents.

A little late and we apologize, however, this Parent Mixer at UpRoar Leadership Academy was the first of many more to come. Parents, this was for you, requested by our youth and delivered by collaborative effort. A space solely dedicated to strengthen the family, that provided support, information, resources, and a positive environment to bring your kids. We hope to see you at the next Parent Mixer. Listen up...I got something to say!!! Donations are being collected that will be distributed to several organizations and shelters across Charlotte. This is the giving season and many are in need.
Are you cold? Are you hungry? Do you have somewhere to lay your head tonight?
Just take a minute to think about the people that are in need....cold, hungry and have no where to go tonight. Think about how many people will be outside bracing the elements and not have a thing to eat on top of being cold.
Winter items like thick socks, long johns, hats, gloves, blankets, sleeping bags, toiletries and toys are being collected now across Charlotte (MEN'S ITEMS ARE IN DESPERATE NEED). If you don't know what to buy, donate a few dollars so the items needed can be purchased. If everybody just did a little something, I know we can make a huge difference!!! Team work makes the dream work!!!!

This is will be a great time! As we are collecting and preparing donations for Middle/Highschool students donors and guest will enjoy music, vendors, deserts and amazing community resources!!!!

Special thanks to all organizations that came out to share info and those that came out to learn, both are equally important! to our webpage today to stay informed on all events and resources has to offer!
