Sisters of the Dove Charity Fund, Inc. awards scholarships to deserving students, provides prenatal was established in September of 2014 as a 501c3 organization.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Mu Zeta chapter's foundation, Sisters of the Dove Charity Fund, Inc. The Charity Fund was created and is operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The purpose of Sisters of the Dove Charity Fund, Inc. is to:

* Closely align with and support the goals and initiatives that are implemented by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Mu Zeta Chapter;

* Promote prenatal care participation and healthy behaviors of low-income women during pregnancy through the creation of Storks Nest Programs throughout the city of Charlotte, North Carolina and surrounding communities; and

* Provide scholarship opportunities along with health and educational programs and/or services which will improve the quality of life for youth, adults and communities in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Our Board Chair recently went back to her alma mater, James Madison University, for Homecoming, where she was invited to serve on the UREC 30th Anniversary Alumni Panel.

She had the opportunity to share with current student leaders how her time as a UREC student employee helped shape her career, her approach to leadership, and her passion for student development.

🍼 Charlotte Stork’s Nest is excited to be a non-profit vendor at the 9th Annual Nurturing Parenthood Event, sponsored by Mind Body Baby NC!

As a prenatal education program dedicated to providing resources, education, and support for moms-to-be, we believe every mother deserves to feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout her pregnancy journey.

Join us as we connect with families, share valuable resources, and spread the word about the importance of prenatal education and maternal support.

💙 Moms-to-be will also have the opportunity to register onsite for our upoming Charlotte Stork’s Nest prenatal education program cohort that begins October 14th. Participation is free. Moms-to-be can learn, build community, and earn maternity items and baby essentials.

Sisters of the Dove Charity Fund, Inc. Board of Directors recently gathered for our Annual Board Retreat, and we left the day inspired, energized, and excited for the year ahead!

We were honored to welcome Sherry Waters, Stewardship Practitioner, Life Coach, and Co-Founder & Owner of The Pauline Tea Bar Apothecary, who led an engaging and interactive workshop focused on building meaningful donor relationships, cultivating trust, and strengthening long-term support. Her insights challenged and encouraged us to think differently about how we connect with those who believe in the work of Sisters of the Dove.

We also proudly recognized our outgoing Board Chair, Shellisa Multrie (Shellisa McMurray-Multrie), for her exemplary leadership, vision, and unwavering dedication to Sisters of the Dove. Her commitment and service have helped position our non-profit for continued growth and impact.

Our Board is energized and ready to deepen community connections, expand our impact, and build a stronger, more sustainable future for the women, children, and families we serve.

Every ride matters. Every child deserves a safe start. 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined Charlotte Stork's Nest for our Ask the Technician Car Seat Safety Event on September 19!

It was a wonderful opportunity for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and expecting families to ask questions, learn from certified car seat technicians, and gain greater confidence in keeping their littlest passengers safe on the road. 🚗👶🏽

From checking harnesses and installation to answering those “Am I doing this right?” questions, the day was all about education, reassurance, and helping families feel more confident every time they buckle up.

A special thank-you to our technician and safety partner Buckle Up, community partner Quality Comprehensive Health Center , and everyone who helped make this event possible. To the families who trusted us with your questions, thank you for making child passenger safety a priority.
