ADOPT OUR BLACK PANTHER BOY!!!!

This $5 Friday, we’re asking for some help.

We have recently taken in quite a few animals. Most of them were not planned and that’s okay. That is rescue. Nothing ever goes according to plan.

We did, however, plan to intake another dog. This dog is coming from Chesterfield SC, Animal Services- a place that we pull animals from often.

Dakota is her name. We pulled her sister Dixie (formally known as Deb) from Chesterfield a few months ago. Both Dixie and Dakota came from a property with a bunch of animals. They have had very limited socialization with people but have had lots of time to be around other dogs.

In our opinion, Dixie was the one that actually needed more training time devoted to her than what we think Dakota will need.

Since being at the shelter, Dakota has opened up some and has started to show her personality. She is very sweet and very cute. She adores other dogs and she’s starting to understand that people aren’t so bad either.

We believe that every dog deserves a chance and Dakota is no exception.

THE GOOD NEWS: Dakota already has $400 raised for her to go to a board and train program where she can get specialized training and care so that she can be ready for adoption.

We need an additional $350 in order to be able to send Dakota to training. This will help her immensely.

If 70 people donate $5, we will reach our goal of $350.

If 35 people donate $10, we will reach our goal of $350.

We understand that money is tight for everyone right now and you may not be able to donate. That is okay! You can still help by sharing this with your friends, family, great uncle, MeeMaw, PawPaw, and whatever people are calling their loved ones these days.

Every donation that we get will go DIRECTLY to the cost of Dakota’s training.

We are a tax deductible orangization - EIN: 99-4181809

Please help us help Dakota:

We thought there were probably some people who would love to see this face ♥️

Just a quick update on Ox — he is doing AMAZING and absolutely loving life with his new adoptive mom. We truly couldn’t be more grateful to her for choosing Ox and giving him the forever home he deserved.

We wish them both nothing but the best in this lifetime, and we can’t wait to keep getting updates on this handsome boy.

Ox was one of those lucky dogs who was pulled from a shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanized. And his story is a pretty damn good reminder of why rescue takes a village.

It takes people willing to fight for a dog when they’re running out of time. It takes transports willing to get them where they need to go. It takes sponsors and donors willing to help give these dogs a chance. It takes fosters willing to open their homes and give them a safe place to land, decompress, learn how to be a dog again, and eventually find their people.

Sometimes that happens in a couple of weeks. Sometimes it takes months. Sometimes, like Ox, it takes a whole lot longer than anyone expected.

But eventually, they get there ♥️

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a foster, or you’re curious about what fostering actually looks like, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us anytime or check out our foster application online. We’d absolutely love to have you become part of the team.

And Ox… keep living your best life, buddy. You earned it.

Oslo is in need of a foster home! 🐾

Oslo is a Great Dane x Mastiff mix, and he is every bit the gentle giant you’d hope he would be.

He is wonderful with kids, loves playing with other dogs, and when it comes to cats… well, he’s actually more afraid of them than they could ever be of him.

Oslo needs a new foster home through no fault of his own. His current situation is simply changing, and we’re hoping to find him another safe, loving place where he can settle in and continue being the sweet boy he is.

Because of his size and breed mix, the rescue would really prefer someone with some Great Dane, Mastiff, or other large breed experience.

If you’ve ever wanted to foster a gentle giant, Oslo might just be your guy ♥️

If you’re interested in potentially fostering Oslo, please fill out this form: https://form.jotform.com/cltshelteredsoulsanimalrescue/foster-application-dogs

**Fostering is completely FREE! We cover all expenses. All you have to do is provide a warm home for Oslo to be in!**

There’s something about the changing of the seasons that makes us want to slow down, get cozy, and maybe even start a new chapter.

Here at Charlotte Sheltered Souls Animal Rescue, we have a few very special dogs who are still waiting for their forever homes. They each have their own personality, their own story, and their own idea of what the perfect family looks like 🐾

As we welcome a new season, maybe this is the season you welcome a new best friend into your life ♥️

If you’re interested in one of our available dogs, send us a message and we’d be happy to tell you more about them.

FIVE BUCKS. FIVE DOGS.

It’s Friday, so we thought we’d bring back a little $5 Friday fun. But we’d love to keep it going beyond today, because these dogs are going to need us long after Friday is over.

Do you have $5 to spare for a dog who needs it?

Right now, we have five who could really use a little extra help:

Caillou — heartworm positive and needs about $500 for treatment.

Calla — heartworm positive, currently dealing with kennel cough, and needs to see a vet ASAP. Her heartworm treatment will also be about $500.

Oslo — needs prescription GI food that costs about $120 a bag.

Ozzy — needs a new foster ASAP, and we’d love to get him into a $750 board and train program.

Peach — 7.5 months old, 25 lbs, dog friendly, cat friendly, kid friendly, people friendly… and somehow still waiting for someone to choose her 🖤

Five dollars might not seem like much on its own, but when a bunch of people each give what they can, it adds up quickly. It can help with a vet visit, medication, food, heartworm treatment, or training.

And if $5 isn’t something you can do right now, sharing this post can still make a difference — especially for Peach, or for Ozzy, who needs a new foster - https://form.jotform.com/cltshelteredsoulsanimalrescue/foster-application-dogs

We’d love to see how many people are willing to put just $5 toward a dog today.
