🐾 Meet Me Monday 🐾

Meet Cruz. 🌟

We pulled this boy from the shelter on Easter Sunday at just 9 weeks old, scared of his own shadow. 💙

Cruz is shy with new people and likes to take his time, but he usually warms up within a day. Once he decides you're his person, he's the most loyal boy, hands down. ❤️

And he makes it easy. Cruz walks beautifully on a leash, has great recall, is crate trained and obedience trained, rides like a champ in the car, and loves every dog he meets. No reactivity, no aggression. Just an easy, happy dog.

He's also down for literally anything. Want a hiking buddy? He's ready. Want to spend Sunday snuggling on the couch? He's ready for that too.

Cruz's ideal home has another dog to show him the ropes and patient people who'll give him time to settle in. 🏡 He's neutered, up to date on vaccines, and comes with a lifetime of support from us, plus free training for life (thank you to his amazing foster at Modern K9!).

🐾 Meet Me Monday: Scout! 🐾

At just 16 weeks old, Scout has already proven what a resilient little guy he is. Found wandering the streets on his own, this sweet boy never let a rough start dim his loving spirit.

Scout is deaf, but don't let that fool you. He's smart, attentive, and eager to learn. Deaf dogs thrive with visual cues, hand signals, and consistency, and Scout is already showing he's ready to take on the world with the right family by his side.
He's affectionate, playful, and full of personality. He loves people, makes friends easily, and wins hearts wherever he goes.

Scout is looking for a family that sees his deafness not as a limitation, but as just one small part of what makes him special. In return? Endless love, loyalty, and plenty of puppy kisses.

Scout doesn't know he's supposed to have limits. He just knows he's ready for a family.

This sweet 8-month-old girl was surrendered to a shelter, and when we got her, what we found broke our hearts. 💔

She weighs under 2 pounds. Under all that hair, she is skin and bones with open sores on her feet, tail, back, and bottom. Her nails had never been cut. She can barely stand on her own and can't hold herself up for long. When you pick her up, you can feel every single bone. She's the size of a toy. Someone bought this puppy and starved her for 8 months.

But she's safe now.

Our volunteers got to work immediately. We took her straight to our vet for IV fluids, vitamins, and minerals. She got a warm bath to clean off the f***s covering her body, and we trimmed out all the mats so she could finally be comfortable. Because she's so severely malnourished, we're feeding her small amounts every 3 hours so her little body can safely process food again.

Tonight, she's resting comfortably on a volunteer's lap. She has a long road ahead before she'll be healthy enough for adoption, but fingers crossed she's on her way.

MEET ME MONDAY: Honey 🍯

This face. That tail. This girl is ready to go home with you. 🐶

Honey was rescued from a hoarding situation and has come so far. She's a 1-year-old Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix, 12 lbs, with the most beautiful copper eyes you've ever seen. She's potty trained, crate trained, and loves other dogs and people. She's done all the hard work already. Now she just needs her person.
