It was an honor for the Dedication To Community team to present at the North Carolina Driver Education Advisory Committee (DEAC) meeting yesterday. Our founder, M. Quentin Williams, was joined by Eddie Alford, Jeff Fletcher, and Darius Williams to share updates on our state law enforcement traffic stop safety initiative.

Supported by the NC Governor’s Highway Safety Program, this initiative is a cornerstone of our safety to build trust and safety on the road. North Carolina continues to lead the nation in driver education, we are proud to help shape policies that save lives.

A big thank you to Dr. Cheryl Leonard, Karl Logan, and the entire DEAC community for their partnership and commitment to community safety. Together, we are making an impact that resonates nationwide. 🤝✨

Justice and safety are the foundations of a thriving community. ⚖️

We had an incredible time at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for a vital discussion on public safety and justice. A huge thank you to Rep. Carolyn Logan for the invitation to join the ‘Judge & Attorney’ panel.

It is conversations like these.. Bring together law enforcement, legal experts, and community leaders - that pave the way for real progress.

Beyond the badge and the title, it’s about the person. 🛡️🤝

At last year’s 2025 Symposium, these leaders reminded us that positive change starts when we see each other clearly—regardless of skin color or religion. It’s about the legacy of leadership we leave for the next generation.

Watch until the end for a reminder of why we do what we do. 🎥

Justice isn’t a destination, it’s a practice. At the University of Mount Saint Vincent, we aren’t just practicing; we’re pioneering.⚖️✨

When D2C and the University of Mount Saint Vincent joined forces to launch the D2C Justice Institute, we knew we needed more than just a mission statement. We needed strategy that reflects complexity of the world that we live in.

Our mission is clear! To cultivate systems and leaders by advancing justice through education, strategy, and action. But how do we actually do that?🤨 We do it by leaning into our 5 Justice Pillars… the foundation of everything we build here in the Bronx 🏙️ and beyond. 💫

📍 Social Justice: Focuses one equity, dignity, and access

📍Economic Justice: Emphasizes mobility, workforce, and opportunity

📍 Criminal Justice: Addresses accountability, reform, and trust

📍 Restorative Justice: Centers healing, repair, and reconciliation

📍Procedural Justice: Strengthens institutional trust, fairness, and legitimacy

We aren’t just teaching these concepts in a classroom; we are applying them to the streets, the precinct, and the boardroom.

We want to know what areas you are most passionate about!💬

Which of our 5 Pillars do you think is most urgent for our community to address right now? Tell us why in the comments. Let’s start the dialogue below! 👇

Together, we aren’t just hoping for change, we are educating the leaders who will create it. 🙌

Miami isn’t just a city; it’s a family. And last week, that family got a little stronger. 🤝🔥

We recently wrapped up an incredible Aspire to Serve event, and the energy was electric! ⚡️ We brought together the next generation of leaders from G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School with those who serve them everyday.

This is what “Relationship-Based Education” looks like in action: raw conversations, shared goals, and a mutual commitment to a safer Miami. ❤️

Seeing this kind of unity gives up hope. What’s one positive thing you see happening in your Miami neighborhood lately? Let’s celebrate 🎊 below 👇

A massive thank you 🙏 to our partners for making the event possible: 👏👏👏
