This is a citywide, multi-platform experience that centers and celebrates the lives, stories, and contributions of Black Women in Charlotte. We are looking for participants to help us test our questions and frameworks for the I AM QUEEN CHARLOTTE initiative. Interested? Check availability:

Meck County wants your opinion. Livable Meck is conducting a survey about American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds that Mecklenburg County will receive (approximately $215 million). The Board of Commissioners will use these survey results to influence their funding decisions. They are asking for our help in identifying community priorities for ARP funds.

Livable Meck Survey
Please consider taking this survey and forward it to others in your network. I just completed it and it's quick - a short one-page survey which should take no more than 3-5 minutes to complete. The survey closes on October 20, 2021.

Your response would be greatly appreciated.

From our longtime community partners the LIBRARY!

Be a part of the conversation. The year 2020 marks the centennial of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. In celebration of this historical achievement, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library partnered with the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) to launch the Engage 2020: Look Back, Move Forward program which focuses on civic engagement and more.
