1 in 5 adults in the US experience a mental health condition every year.

Mental Health Awareness Month has existed since 1949 to make sure that number is never ignored. This year's theme is More Good Days,Together and it resonates deeply with us. Finding your people can be hard, especially when life is in flux. New school, new team, new city. But when you do find them, it changes everything. That's the kind of community we're trying to build for student athletes and young adults. Because asking for help isn't weakness. It's a New Type of Tough.

Tag someone who's made your days a little better.

Save the date, M34 fam... Kickball with Sean is BACK!

Our 8th Annual Kickball with Sean Tournament hits the Charlotte Latin School field Saturday, August 8th. Win or lose, this day has always been about something bigger: showing up for each other, honoring Sean, and proving that being a New Type of Tough means leaning into community when it matters most.

Registration opens Monday, June 1st at mission34.org/events. Round up your team and we'll see you on the field!

This weekend asks something quiet of us: pause, remember, and let yourself rest.

We honor the service members who gave everything for our freedom: and as Mental Health Awareness Month draws to a close, we're reminded that caring for ourselves and each other is part of how we carry that legacy forward. If summer already feels like it's racing past you, you're not alone.

Three days off doesn't have to mean three days packed. Sit with someone you love. Take the walk. Eat the slow breakfast. Being a new type of tough sometimes looks a lot like doing less.

Tell us in the comments: what's one small thing you're giving yourself permission to do this weekend? 🀍

No one tells you that "what's next" can feel just as hard as getting here.

There are moments in life, like at graduation, where you're supposed to feel like you've arrived. But for a lot of people, it feels more like standing at a trailhead with no map... and that's okay.

Your path doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Pivoting, pausing, or starting over is not falling behind; it's figuring it out. It may not feel like this in the moment, but every restart is still forward movement.

What's one thing you wish someone had told you before this next chapter? Share it below. You might be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

Daniel Jones got real on the podcast, and it's worth a listen.

He opened up about the mental side of being cut by the Giants, how he leaned into daily progress when the path forward wasn't clear, and why the relationships you build on a team matter more than most people realize. He also talked about his classmate and friend Sean Bonner and why Mission 34's work is something he cares about personally.

This is the kind of conversation we need more of. Watch the full episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01DDqWWV0Uo

You never know when two worlds will collide.

This weekend at the Kentucky Derby, our M34 Chief Growth Officer ran into Colts QB and Mission 34 ambassador Daniel Jones, a true champion for mental health.

What sets Daniel apart is his consistency, showing up for the conversations that matter and helping rewrite what it means to be tough.

This is how change happens. One voice. One conversation. One moment at a time.

Today is the day. The M34 Challenge is HERE.

Pick your 3 and 4, lace up, and move. A 3.4-mile run, 34 jumping jacks, a 34-minute walk. Any movement counts. It's not about performance. It's about showing up for yourself and for this community.

Tag us in your activity and share this with someone who needs a little push today.

500 people packed our Charlotte premiere and we were proud to also bring Shattered Ice to in Geneva, New York, last week.

This film is for every athlete who has ever held something in. It explores the courage it takes to speak honestly about our struggles and reminds us that even in the darkest times, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The live Q&A was moderated by writer and producer Jake Miskin, with:

Athletic Director Brian Miller,
Head Coach Mark Taylor,
Michael Masino, Partner at Harris Beach Murtha and HWS Basketball Hall of Famer, and
Mission 34 Co-Founder

We also wanted to extend special thanks to Mary Gearan, wife of President Mark Gearan, who joined us for the screening and panel.

Your GPA is not your worth. Let that sit for a second.

Finals season has a way of making everything feel urgent and nothing feel good enough. You are more than what you score during these next few weeks. And remember that rest is part of the process. Asking for help is part of the process.

Cross this finish line taking care of yourself, not just your transcript.

Who's in finals mode right now? Tell us how you're holding up in the comments.
