The BBOC Marketplace STORE will host a soft opening in JULY, inside The Black Innovation Center - CLT!!

➡️ With over a decade of community building, supporting hundreds of Black businesses and professionals, a network of 27,000 members, and strong city-wide recognition — the STORE offers a prime opportunity for local Black-owned retail brands to sell, scale, and thrive. 🌱

We have curated space & retail-readiness programming for top Black-owned brands in the following categories:

👚 Apparel
🎨 Art & Decor
🛋️ Home Goods
📚 Books

Participating vendors will be empowered by our ‘MADE IN CLT’ Retail-Readiness Program, designed to elevate Black-owned brands.

The program includes:
✔️ Retail workshops, pitch opportunities & buyer introductions
✔️ Retainment of 90% of sales, (10% reinvested to sustain the program)
✔️ Earn rewards & incentives as you level up
✔️ Connect with customers, retail chains, wholesale buyers & corporate partners

Attention Charlotte-Based Business Owners: The (Round 2) is NOW OPEN for REGISTERATIONS, here’s what you need to know:

Round 2 of this grant is only for businesses who are Doing Business in Charlotte NC.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Business must be Physically located within 1 of the 6 Corridors of Opportunity as identified by the City of Charlotte

2. Business must have been in operation at least one full year as of August 1, 2022

3. For-profit organization. Nonprofit 501(c)(3)s are NOT eligible to apply in Round 2.

4. Business must have a Minimum annual revenue of $30K and a maximum annual revenue of $5M.

5. Business must employ Fewer than 200 full and/or part-time workers

6. If your business is a , it must be locally owned and independently operated.

7. Business Owners must have ALL Required documents and requested information.

8. This is a competitive grant. Applying does Not guarantee funding.
