For many girls in rural Malawi, the transition from primary school to secondary school is one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. While access to primary education has improved in many communities, the barriers that follow often become overwhelming. School fees, uniforms, economic hardship, lack of menstrual hygiene resources, and deeply rooted cultural pressures can force girls to leave school long before graduation. In many cases, early marriage becomes viewed as the only viable path forward for struggling families.

Over the past several years, Renown Collective has had the privilege of partnering with COPRED (Community Partnership for Relief and Development), a Malawian-led organization committed to building healthier, more self-reliant communities. Together, we’ve seen firsthand the power of locally led solutions through clean water initiatives, community development programs, health interventions, and education support. What has always stood out about COPRED is their understanding that lasting transformation never happens in isolation. Communities flourish when root causes are addressed holistically, not one issue at a time. That vision is what led to the creation of Project Tikule Limodzi (“Let’s Grow Together")!
