Our First Tee girls had an incredible opportunity to participate in the inaugural Access, Opportunity & Development Summit, hosted by Truist Championship in partnership with Truist, Atrium Health, and HendrickCars.com at Quail Hollow Club.

The event brought together 18 groups of four, with each group featuring a First Tee participant, two collegiate golfers, and a Charlotte-area business professional.
The day began with inspiring guest speakers before our girls took on an 18-hole best ball round at Quail Hollow, playing alongside accomplished golfers and local professionals while building connections both on and off the course. The experience wrapped up with a dinner reception and awards ceremony celebrating the day.

We were proud to have several of our longtime First Tee participants and talented young golfers represent our chapter. This one of a kind experience combined golf, mentorship, networking, and leadership - giving our girls the opportunity to learn, connect, and experience one of Charlotte’s premier golf courses. A huge thank you to for including us in such a special and meaningful event!

Parker Townsend recently had the opportunity to attend his first First Tee national opportunity - the First Tee Game Changers Academy - and it was truly a week to remember. For Parker, the experience was about so much more than golf. It pushed him outside of his comfort zone, introduced him to new perspectives, and challenged him to grow as a leader.

One of his biggest takeaways? Being part of a successful team doesn't require everyone to think the same way.
It requires listening, communicating with respect, finding common ground, and learning from one another. From meaningful conversations with passionate coaches to building relationships with peers from across the First Tee network, Parker left inspired by what his generation can accomplish when they encourage one another, work together, and challenge each other to grow.

We are proud of Parker for taking the initiative to apply, stepping into this opportunity, and representing First Tee - Greater Charllotte. We can't wait to see how he continues to grow as a golfer, teammate, and future leader.

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Summer Camp season! ☀️⛳

We’re incredibly grateful for our amazing coaches, volunteers, staff, and participants who made this summer one to remember. From new friendships and growing confidence to improving golf skills and creating lasting memories, it’s been an unforgettable season.

Thank you to everyone who was part of the fun! While we’re sad to say goodbye to summer, we can’t wait to see what the fall season has in store.

My first First Tee National Opportunity was an experience I’ll never forget! From dinner in an NBA arena and incredible clinics at the 3M Open to playing some of the most beautiful courses and meeting amazing people, the week was filled with unforgettable moments, new friendships, and lessons I’ll carry with me for years to come.

One of my biggest takeaways was the power of positive affirmations. A simple reminder from a fellow participant — “center cup” — taught me to focus on the shot I want rather than the negative thoughts that can creep in. It’s a mindset I’ll be taking with me throughout my golf journey.

I was also incredibly honored to receive the Outstanding Participant Award for my color group. Hearing the encouragement from Coach Lucio and being reminded to keep being a role model meant so much to me.

A huge thank you to all the coaches and staff at First Tee – Greater Charlotte for giving me this opportunity. I’m beyond grateful for the people I met, the lessons I learned, and the memories I made. I can’t wait to bring what I learned back to our chapter this fall! 🙌⛳️

We are so excited for our upcoming End of Summer Girls Golf Party! The action will take place on Friday, August 14, from 6:00-7:30 PM as we celebrate an incredible summer together. This $5 event will include golf activities for all skills levels, refreshments and food, music and games. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone.
