Is there hope? Absolutely, yes!
Want to share a story of a boy... with mother in prison, father abandoned...
He was raised by his grandmother alongside his younger sisters... At just 7 years old, Marvin ran into the arms of his mother in one of Proverbs226 prison event.
Raised by his grandmother alongside his younger sisters, he faced challenges that could have easily defined his future — but instead, they became the fuel that pushed him forward.
Marvin’s journey was not easy. As a first-generation college student, he had to navigate unfamiliar territory without a roadmap.
Today, he stands on the brink of a powerful new chapter — graduating tomorrow from Johnson C. Smith University. He is heading to a prestigious internship in Washington DC over the summer, and then on to a joint program in law and public policy at one of the nation’s top schools.
Marvin’s story stands as a testimony of resilience, hope, and the power of believing beyond your circumstances.
What a proud and emotional moment for everyone at Proverbs226 to witness his journey through the years and now celebrate this incredible milestone.
His life reminds us that where you start does not determine where you can go.
