Service often changes more than the communities we support. It changes us, too.

Whether it was a single afternoon or a years long commitment, the volunteer experiences that stay with us are usually the ones that asked something of us and gave something back.

That belief sits at the center of SVP Charlotte. Through Spark Teams, our Partners share their skills and time with local nonprofits, building real capacity and lasting relationships along the way. For us, volunteering is less a one time act and more a way of showing up for one another, again and again.

As their Board terms come to a close this month, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Lea Fitzpatrick and Adam Wassell for their leadership and service to SVP Charlotte.

Over the past three years, they have generously contributed their time, strategic thought partnership, and expertise to help guide our organization and strengthen our impact across the Charlotte community.

The learning doesn’t end with SEED20. 🌱

This week, SEED20 alumni gathered at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library for the first Alumni Enrichment Program of the season, focused on strengthening grant seeking skills and building a strong foundation for funding success.

A special thank you to Christina Dooley, MLIS, and Jeremy Lytal from Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s Nonprofit Services team for sharing their expertise and equipping nonprofit leaders with practical tools to identify funding opportunities, strengthen proposals, build funder relationships, and access valuable research resources.

One of the most rewarding parts of is bringing alumni together to continue learning, sharing ideas, and strengthening their impact across Charlotte.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and for the important work you do each day to build a stronger, more thriving Charlotte community.
