Elizabeth calls Mary blessed because of her trust in what seems impossible. Life’s circumstances and God’s blessings can sometime cause us to doubt the possibilities. Mary, an u***d teen girl was presented with a hard to believe blessing and she accepted what God presented her. Her faith in God’s word led to the promise being fulfilled. If you are facing something that seems impossible, know that with God all things are possible.

We pause to honor and celebrate Estella D. Patterson - Chief of Police for the Charlotte -Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD). She is the first woman to hold this position and was sworn in December 5, 2025. She began her career at CMPD in 1996 as a patrol officer, instructor, and in Internal Affairs before she became a deputy chief. Welcome home, Chief Patterson!

Myth, so what’s the fact? Intimate partner violence is a crime committed by one person against their intimate partner. It’s a choice made by the perpetrator of the violence; therefore, the perpetrator is responsible for the violence.
