Charlotte Woodworkers

Charlotte Woodworkers Organization to promote Profesional and Hobby Woodworking in the Greater Charlotte Area. Visitors are welcome at all regular meetings.

The Charlotte Woodworkers Association is a non-profit organization formed in 1985. Its purpose is to promote excellence in woodworking through teaching, development of individual skills and fostering interest in our craft. Our members, both men and women, represent all skill levels in a wide variety of woodworking interests. Some are professionals, some are new comers to the craft and some have be

en at it for many years. All enjoy woodworking regardless of skill level and are willing to share their experiences. Monthly meetingsare structured to present programs on woodworking-related subjects that will further the purpose of The Association. Topics have included: Turning Techniques; Shop Electric's; Squaring Wood; Tuning Your Bandsaw; Woodworking Jigs & Fixtures; Antique Tool Collecting; Making A Drawer; Making bowls with a bandsaw rather than a lathe; and Shop Built Router Tables. Programs are presented by professionals, manufacturer's representatives and members. Membership dues are $25.00 per year for renewals and $30 for new members. We publish a brochure that we use to advertise our group, it includes photos of members projects and can be printed to get a current copy of the application for membership.

The video for last week's club meeting is now available on YouTube. At this meeting, Todd Arnold (me!) gave a talk about bandsaw boxes - what they are and how to make them. I posted two separate videos - one of the entire meeting, and one with just the part with the bandsaw box presentation. You can find them here:

I'm happy to say that our FIRST club meeting video is now up on YouTube, on our club's channel. This is a video of the club's February meeting, in which two people from Mohawk Finishes came to describe their products and how to use them for particular applications.

You can find the video on the club's page at https://www.youtube.com/, or you can jump directly to this specific video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KLbp0N5dbM&t=1969s. We plan to create videos like this for all the future club meetings. You may want to subscribe to our YouTube channel, if you haven't already done so.
