Help with Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Much More!
FMC tutors any level reader, including those who cannot read at all. Reading is the single most important skill one can have concerning GED preparation. Writing is also very important. FMC can assist students with learning basic grammar to essay writing skills needed for the GED test. Along with reading and writing, our students receive tutoring in basic math through GED preparation. All of these are building blocks to passing the GED test. Most employers require a high school diploma or GED to employ applicants.
GED Preparation: We will provide instruction on all areas you need to learn to pass the GED in the sate of North Carolina. FMC also gives the GED Official Practice Test.
One-On-One Instruction: This very personal type of instruction has been proven time and again to be a very effective method of assisted learning.
Small Group Instruction: FMC also provides specialty area tutoring to small groups in an effort to serve as many students as possible.
Computer Aided Instruction: Today computers are everywhere. Part of learning life skills is becoming comfortable with basic computer operations such as Internet searches. While you take the computer assisted lessons, you will be building computer skills.
Literacy-On-Wheels: Our community based approach helps us reduce transportation barriers so that students may take full advantage of our literacy services.
