Looking to meet and train the future of the energy industry

Calling all students interested in a possible energy career: Did you know that Holt Public offers the tools to connect you to a career in the energy industry? In partnership with Michigan Energy Workforce Development Consortium, Consumers Energy, UWUA Power 4 America Training Trust Fund, Lansing Board of Water & Light. Holt High School students can sign up for a class called Energy Industry Fundamentals that enables them to get hands-on experience in the energy industry during their senior year. Students are able to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for these types of careers in flexible learning environments. This program allows students to apply hands-on learning onsite at Power 4 America and can lead to a work-based learning placement with Consumers Energy or Lansing Board of Water and Light. The Energy Industrial Fundamental program at Holt High School is the first step for students into a high-demand, high-wage career. There are only three seats left for the class in the fall.
