Some claim Constantine created Christianity, made Jesus God, selected the books of the Bible, and changed Christian worship from the Sabbath to Sunday.

But Christians were already worshiping Christ, baptizing converts, celebrating the Lord’s Supper, copying Scripture, appointing bishops, and dying as martyrs centuries before Constantine was born.

So what did Constantine actually change?

In this investigation, we examine the evidence before Constantine, his conversion, the Council of Nicaea, the biblical canon, Sunday legislation, and Christianity’s relationship with imperial power.

Christianity began inside Judaism. Jesus was Jewish. His apostles were Jewish. The earliest believers worshiped at the Temple and proclaimed Jesus as Israel’s Messiah.

So how did Christianity and Judaism become two separate religions?

Was the family split caused by Gentile inclusion, the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, the Council of Jamnia, or the Bar Kokhba revolt?

In this investigation, we follow Scripture and the historical witnesses to determine whether there was one separation date or several gradual partings.
