WELL LADIES & GENTLEMEN… IT’S BACK!

“BREAKING THE CYCLE” Is officially returning June 13th from 12PM–4PM! This youth-led initiative is created BY our teens and FOR our teens to create real conversations around youth violence, mental health, trauma, peer pressure, emotional suppression, and social media influence.

This experience will be personal, informative, but necessary. We’re creating a safe space for our young men to speak, listen, learn, and express.

Parents, we do NOT want your son to miss this opportunity. Seats are LIMITED and registration is REQUIRED.

I’m deeply honored to be recognized as a 2026 Mental Health Champion by the Mental Health America of Central Carolinas. Mental health isn’t just a conversation, it’s personal. It’s real. And it’s something that touches every life, every family, every community.

This work is bigger than recognition. It’s about showing up, breaking barriers, and standing in the gap for those who feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported. I’m grateful to be aligned with a community that is committed to advancing advocacy, education, and access, and creating change that truly impacts lives.

Grateful for the opportunity to have featured in the Driven Project with Scott Clark Toyota This isn’t just a spotlight. This is six years of partnership. Six years of trust. Six years of pouring into young people together.

Scott Clark Toyota continues to create opportunities for young people to impact this community while helping organizations like ours gain the visibility and clarity needed to reach more families and tell more stories.

Through the Scott Clark Accelerator for Leadership and Education Internship Cohort, high school students are gaining real-world skills in digital marketing, graphic design, branding, communication, and professional development. They’re not just learning, they’re building. They’re creating. They’re preparing.

After our coaches did an outstanding job working with the young men yesterday on etiquette, I had the opportunity to close the session by reinforcing the bigger picture, helping them understand not just what they learned, but why it matters.

I emphasized the long-term value and real-life benefits of acquiring these tools, how etiquette, self-awareness, and presentation open doors, build confidence, and shape how others perceive and respond to them. Step Up To Leadership Social Development Program

At Step Up To Leadership (SUTL), we give them what many don’t have anywhere else, consistency. Direction. Mentorship. Opportunity.

But as our numbers grow, so does the need. Transportation, meals, resources, workshops, and staff support, all of that costs money.

‼️ This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your help. When you give, you help a young man realize he has a future worth fighting for.

🔥 Major energy today at Julius Chambers High School! 🔥

We kicked off the FIRST stop of the Career Day Tour, and it was powerful. Step Up To Leadership showed up to make sure students know exactly what we offer, leadership, guidance, mentorship, and real pathways to level up their future.

Having HBCU representatives in the building took it to another level. Hearing them speak on the culture, the community, and the opportunities that come with attending an HBCU gave these students something real to think about.

And bringing in community-based organizations added even more value, connecting students directly to resources that can support them long after today is over. Great Job The Academy of Goal Achievers, Inc
