This colony cat was very sick. We spent $704.90 trying to save him. We don’t regret a single penny but it has hit our food budget hard.

If you are able to help us buy dry food, we would be so grateful. Every bag, every dollar, every share helps keep the colonies fed and cared for.

Thank you for showing up for them.

Link to our donation page is in the comments.

We are down to our last two bags of dry food. We go through 64lbs of dry food per week. This is not counting the caretakers we help when their budget is tight. Sam’s Club has 32 lb bags of Friskies dry food for $24.98. If you are a Sam’s Club member, you can ship a bag directly to us or drop off at the address below. Not a Sam’s Club member and want to help? Visit our website for our Zelle and PayPal account information. Thank you for helping us keep their bellies full.

🐾 Rescue Needed for Two Kittens 🐾

We’re looking for a rescue placement for these two kittens. If we can’t secure a spot, they’ll have to be returned to their colony, in the country, after their spay/neuter.

We will pay for their spay/neuter visit.

They deserve a safe, loving place to land. If you can help or know a rescue with space, please reach out.

In August of last year, a new face appeared at one of the colonies we care for. He already had an ear tip — the universal sign that someone had TNR’d him — and he walked in like he belonged. He was friendly from the start, and three of our other social cats welcomed him right into their little circle.

We named him Charlie.

We tried to find him a home, but the right match never came. Still, Charlie made the most of every day. His favorite thing in the world was to roll around on the ground while waiting for his meals, soaking up pets and attention like it was his personal love language. He was such a happy, easygoing soul.

This morning, Charlie was found deceased. We don’t know the cause. Our cameras caught him at 8:54 pm last night, looking perfectly fine. The shock and heartbreak are indescribable.

What we do know is this: Charlie was loved. Deeply. He had friends — feline and human — and he carved out a place for himself in our hearts and in the colony.

Rest in peace, sweet Charlie. You will be missed more than you could ever know.

Looks like the winter storm is closing in!
While the meteorologist debate the timing - and if we get snow, ice, or a combination of both - the outdoor animals are already depending on us.

If you care for community cats, now is the time to act: reinforce shelters, refresh STRAW, stock up on food and water, and make sure they have what they need to ride out this storm.

Caretakers, take care of yourselves too! Be safe in whatever this winter storm brings!

5-year-old Sisters, Creamy and Hemmi, lost their caretaker in August 2024. Since her passing, we have been feeding them on the property while desperately searching for a rescue or forever home—but so far, with no luck.
While feeding them, we noticed Creamy holding up her foot. We were able to safely crate Creamy and take her to the vet, where she received six stitches that will need to be removed in 10 days.
Because these girls are bonded and have never been apart, we also brought Hemmie in to be checked. They are happiest when they’re together, but sadly, they are currently confined to crates, which is no way for them to live for the next 10 days.
If we are unable to find a rescue or adopter, they will have no choice but to be released back outside in the country once Creamy heals. With the cold weather and coyote in the area, this is something we are desperately trying to avoid.
Please, we are begging for help—these sweet, bonded sisters need a rescue or a loving forever home. If you can help or share, it could make all the difference for Creamy and Hemmi.
