💥THE GUILD AT CHARLOTTE STUDIO ARTISTS featuring Shefalee Amin Patel
📍Shefalee V. Patel is a visual artist, dancer, cultural educator, and community connector based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She served on the Arts and Culture Advisory Board for the City of Charlotte, helping shape local cultural strategy, and contributes to broader regional arts initiatives through board and advisory roles with organizations including the Charlotte Center for the Arts (CCA), the YMCA and as Past President of the Guild of Charlotte Artists.
Her artistic practice spans vibrant mural installations, immersive acrylic abstracts, and intricate hand-painted motifs on canvas. Shefalee’s work explores themes of identity, movement, and cultural synthesis, drawing rich inspiration from folk traditions, Indian textiles, and storytelling. Through her active leadership with Namaste Artists CLT, she has collaborated on public art initiatives, including a recent installation at Novant Health and community showcases at CharlotteShout.
Beyond the canvas, Shefalee is a dedicated advocate for grassroots arts access and cultural preservation. She regularly leads traditional Garba and folk dance workshops, co-creates immersive community events, and participates in civic arts roundtables to uplift local creatives. Her work reflects a core belief that art serves as a powerful catalyst for human connection, cross-cultural understanding, and shared joy.
