What happens when queens, warriors, music, and sisterhood come together?
A magical Women’s Day celebration!
The International Women’s Day event organized by Shakthi and United Indian Community Forum was a rocking success!!!. The program began with warm welcome speeches from Ms. Ahalya Shenthan, Ms. Nidiya Gaspar, Ms. Ambika Shyamala, and Ms. Smitha Bhasy, followed by a heartfelt reminder from Ms. Viji Suresh Yoga Bloom US on the importance of self-care for women who do so much for everyone else.
The spotlight then shifted to a spectacular fashion show choreographed by Ms. Leela Karthik and emceed by Ms. Sharon Dalvi, featuring the theme “Queens and Warriors of South Asia.” Ten incredible women lit up the ramp, bringing legendary figures to life with grace, power, and style.
The excitement didn’t stop there! Ms. Lavanya Moynika Kavali’s energetic dance-along had the audience up on their feet in no time. During dinner, Ms. Nithya Ganapathi and Ms. Surabhi Kaushik entertained everyone with their lively singing, and once the dance floor opened, the DJ, AJ kept the celebration going with a fantastic playlist that had everyone moving. Followed by awesome food from Biryani Pot, Aahar and Nalan restaurants filled their hearts and souls.
Our wonderful emcee Ms. Ishwarya Ramaiyah kept the evening flowing smoothly with warmth and charm, while guests enjoyed sponsor giveaways and a delicious dinner. A beautiful finish to the evening was Thank You note by Ms. Raghavi Sridhar.
It was an evening where women laughed loudly, danced freely, and celebrated the strength and beauty of sisterhood.
