What began with one family's involvement at FHL eventually became a shared experience for two sisters and their three children. Bri says, "FHL has been and will always be a profound blessing to our family."

Faces of FHL

Meet Teigen. In terms of grades, he's really a star student here, but our focus goes deeper than that. His attitude and peer-to-peer relationships are something we're helping him grow in. It's been great to see that growth for the past 2 years. 5 more years to go - as we trust he'll continue with FHL through 8th grade.

We’re grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness.

When we began this transition in May, we didn’t know where our next home would be. Today, we’re celebrating our first group photo of the children at our new location.

A Mentoring Moment - Xander has been with FHL for a couple years. Annie E. Casey Foundation research shows that mentorship strengthens a child's trajectory. He closed last school year with Advanced Reading and Math Achievement awards. He's off to a strong start this year.

We have a new home! As many of you know, we recently hosted a fundraiser to support the program. Behind the scenes, we have been transitioning into a new facility as well.

We lost not one mentor amidst the summer transition and gained a few new mentors and children to the roster too.

Pray for us, the children, and the mentors as we start another year of serving families through mentoring.
