Life for Lila “Life for Lila” is our way of going beyond treating her symptoms and helping find a cure. Lila was born on October 26, 2007; the youngest of 3.

With UMDF leading the charge to find a cure we believe children with Mitochondrial Disease will someday avoid having to deal with the challenges Lila faces. Not long after she was born, it was realized that Lila would face many challenges that most other children would not. After seeing many different specialists and going through various test, she was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease, Complex 1 Deficiency. Through the Life for Lila page, you will see updates on how Lila is progressing and different activities she is doing.
