🙏 United in prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.

Catholic Charities invites you to pause and offer a prayer for his health and recovery. May the Lord strengthen him, fill his heart with peace, and guide the medical team caring for him. We entrust him to the loving care of Our Blessed Mother. 💙

💙 Faith comes to life through moments of connection and care.

At the St. Francis of Assisi festival in Lenoir, Catholic Charities shared information about our services with parish families and neighbors from surrounding communities.

Inspired by St. Francis’s example of humility and love, we seek to meet our neighbors with compassion, share resources, and help them find support. 🤝✨

Thank you, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, for welcoming us!

🙏 October 10 | World Day Against the Death Penalty

Every human life has God-given dignity—even when someone has caused harm. Our Catholic faith calls us to protect life, stand with people who are poor or vulnerable, strengthen families and communities, and seek justice through paths of healing and restoration.

Today, we pray for people affected by violence, their families, those who are incarcerated, and all who work for restorative justice. May we help build a culture that upholds the dignity of every person and offers hope.

🌹 October 7 | Our Lady of the Rosary

Today we honor Our Lady of the Rosary. As we pray the Rosary, Mary guides us to reflect on the life of her Son, Jesus, and grow in faith and trust in Him. ✝️

🙏 Let us bring to prayer the needs of our neighbors: families facing hardship, people experiencing loneliness, and all who seek comfort and hope. 💙

🤲 At Catholic Charities, may prayer strengthen our commitment to serve with compassion and recognize Christ in those we encounter.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us! 🌹

🌹 October 5 | St. Faustina Kowalska

St. Faustina Kowalska, a Polish religious sister known as an apostle of Divine Mercy, reminds us to trust in Jesus and share His mercy with others. ❤️ ✝️

🤲 Mercy takes shape in everyday actions: listening without judgment, offering kindness, and accompanying someone through a difficult moment. At Catholic Charities, these acts of compassion help bring hope to our neighbors. 💙

🙏 Today, let us ask God for hearts ready to forgive, welcome, and serve.
St. Faustina, pray for us!

🌿 Celebrating God’s Gift of Creation

As the Season of Creation concludes on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we reflect on the beauty of creation and our shared responsibility to care for it. 💚

Catholic Charities recently hosted an event in Charlotte with Ashton Lamb, a parishioner of Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont and Trail Development Manager for Catawba Lands Conservancy–Carolina Thread Trail. His presentation highlighted the benefits of nature trails around the Catawba River System for our communities and well-being.

🥾 Exploring local trails offers a chance to connect with nature, care for our health, and deepen our appreciation for the world God has entrusted to us.
