On June 19 from 4:00–8:00 p.m., the free Juneteenth Festival at Boardwalk at University City will bring neighbors together for an evening of culture, community, and connection.

Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, reflect on our shared history, and celebrate the strength and contributions of Black communities.

What does financial hardship really look like in North Carolina?

United Way of Greater Charlotte's Jamese Ivy recently joined Charlotte Talks on WFAE to discuss the latest ALICE data and the challenges facing working families across our state.

The report found that 41% of North Carolina households struggle to afford basic necessities, including housing, food, transportation, health care, and child care.

These aren't just numbers. They represent our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and families.
