I am bringing the race to NC to help spread the word and and raise money for research on melanoma. As many of you know my sister, Amy Ross Robinson, lost her life to melanoma. She was diagnosed in high school and stayed in remission for over 10 years but then lost her fight when she was only 30 yrs old. All money raised from this race will be donated in her name to melanoma research and awareness. Registration will open soon!

We would like to highlight this Angel today. Her name is Jessica Dovi and she lost her battle with melanoma when she was only 30, not long after the birth of her son. Her memory lives on in those who knew and loved her, especially her parents, David and Donna Hodgkins who have become friends of ours. They created Purple Promise in her memory. Tonight the Duke Energy Building will be lit bright PURPLE in her memory! If you are uptown enjoy the beautiful sight and take a moment of silence for all those fighting melanoma and for those we have lost. To learn more about their organization go to www.purplepromise.org.
