We’re excited to welcome Kelly Perez to the Madelyn’s Fund team as our new Development Manager!

Kelly brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience to Madelyn’s Fund, with a career dedicated to supporting health and human services organizations through fundraising, program development, and strategic planning. Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Kelly has called Charlotte home for more than 30 years and is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College.

Throughout her career, Kelly has been passionate about building meaningful partnerships, launching impactful initiatives, and expanding resources for the communities organizations serve.
Kelly is also a strong advocate for families as essential members of the care team, believing their voices, values, and presence should always be honored, especially during times of medical crisis.

As Madelyn’s Fund celebrates 10 years of serving the community, Kelly is excited to help grow the organization’s reach and impact by building new partnerships, strengthening its network of supporters, and expanding resources available to families when they need them most.

Kelly believes one of the most important ways Madelyn’s Fund supports the community is by easing the overwhelming stress families face during a NICU stay or after experiencing infant loss. By providing financial assistance and emotional support, the organization helps families focus on what matters most: being together, healing, and caring for their baby.

Since we founded Madelyn's Fund 10 years ago, the need for NICU support has continued to grow and so have the everyday costs families face during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

From rising gas prices for daily hospital visits to the increasing costs of essentials like car seats, meals, and lodging, the financial weight of a NICU stay can be overwhelming.

At Madelyn’s Fund, we believe families should be focused on their baby, not how they’ll afford to get through tomorrow.

That’s why we created the Pink Bow Society: a community of committed supporters helping ensure we can continue providing compassionate, consistent support to NICU families all year long. Your annual gift ensures that no family faces their journey alone.

When Peyton Grace was born at just 23 weeks and 4 days, weighing only 1 lb 6.8 oz, the Guion family was suddenly thrown into a long and emotional NICU journey. Surrounded by monitors, tubes, and uncertainty, they leaned on an incredible care team that became like family throughout Peyton’s 225-day NICU stay.

During this difficult season, Madelyn’s Fund was honored to support the Guion family by providing gas cards and assistance with utility bills, helping ease some of the financial burden while Peyton’s mom spent months away from work caring for her baby.

Today, Peyton Grace is finally home with Mom, Dad, big brother Jax, and dog Luna, thriving, growing, and showing everyone just how strong she truly is. 🎀

We had a blast on the courts last week! Teams came decked out in pink and ready to play! 🎾

Thanks to the incredible sponsorship from The Judd Family, our annual ladies doubles tennis tournament was a huge success! Congratulations to our four winning groups, and a massive thank you to everyone who participated. Because of you, we were able to raise over $20,000 for our mission. 🎾🎀🏆

We’ve partnered with amazing restaurants, bars, and coffee shops across the Greater Charlotte area for our 4th annual Drink Pink campaign—all pouring pink drinks to support NICU and infant loss families through Madelyn’s Fund.

Drink Pink kicks off Friday, May 22, just in time for Memorial Day weekend, and runs through the end of June.

From frosé and margaritas to matcha lemonade, transfusions, rosé, and more, every pink sip helps support families facing the unimaginable.
