Today is National Nonprofit Day!
For almost 10 years, Madelyn’s Fund has had one mission: to support NICU families when they need it most.

What started as one family’s desire to give back has grown into a community that has provided more than $2 million in financial assistance to families navigating some of the hardest and most uncertain days of their lives.

That support can look like lodging so parents can stay close to their baby. Gas to get back and forth to the hospital. Help with meals, utilities, baby essentials and medically necessary supplies. And when the unimaginable happens, assistance with funeral and bereavement expenses.

None of this happens without you.

Our donors, volunteers, hospital partners, community partners, board members, event attendees, fundraisers and families have all helped build Madelyn’s Fund into what it is today.

On , we simply want to say thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us continue to show up for NICU families.

Here’s to the next 10 years of making sure families know they don’t have to navigate the NICU journey alone. 🎀

For Sarah, NICU Awareness Month is personal. 💗

At 31 weeks and 5 days pregnant with twins, Sarah went into premature labor and suddenly found herself navigating a journey she never expected. Despite receiving incredible care, the NICU was filled with uncertainty. The sound of monitors beeping, the emotional highs and lows, and the heartbreak of not knowing when her babies would finally come home.

During their stay, Sarah and her husband received a gas card from Madelyn’s Fund. It may have seemed like a simple gesture, but in the middle of such an overwhelming time, it reminded them they weren’t alone.

Now, Sarah is turning her experience into action as a NICU Awareness Month Ambassador, helping ensure other families feel that same love and support when they need it most. 🎀

Sometimes, support looks like a warm meal. 🍽️

Each month, FS Food Group generously provides meals for NICU families at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital, giving parents one less thing to think about and pay for during long days spent by their baby’s bedside.

A huge thank you to FS Food Group for continuing to show up for our NICU families, and to our incredible Family Outreach Committee for coordinating these monthly meals and making it all happen!

It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honor Vaughn Granger.

The Pink Bow Fashion Show would not exist without Vaughn. What began as his idea grew into an event that has raised critical support and awareness for NICU families, touching countless lives along the way. He believed in our mission and generously gave his time, creativity, and unwavering support to help bring that vision to life.

Vaughn wasn’t just a supporter, he was a true partner and friend to Madelyn’s Fund. His generosity extended far beyond the runway, and his impact will be felt for years to come.

We’ll always picture him bringing his signature style, warm smile, and willingness to wear pink with pride.
