United Airlines Contract Negotiations Update:


October 13, 2026

Good morning, Sisters and Brothers at United Airlines,

This communication is addressed to members working under the Central Load Planner, Passenger Service, and Fleet Service agreements.

Last week, we finished reviewing the thousands of responses to the Union Survey on United negotiations.

Based on your input, the membership's top priorities are clear:

Wages/pay progression.

Increased flexibility with fixed holidays and vacations.

Enhanced language in Article 10, Paragraph C (New Equipment, Technology, and Methods) to incorporate specific Artificial Intelligence protections.

Address premiums for Leads, Move Team, and specialty desks.

Immediate contract improvements, as the membership expressed that waiting for delayed.

improvements including 401(k) in later years is unacceptable while United Airlines reports strong profits.

Based on these survey results, we are preparing to meet with the Company during the week of November 9 to discuss these and other priorities. We will provide an update to the membership shortly thereafter. We understand the financial pressures created by the rising cost of living. We remain committed to negotiating a tentative agreement that fully addresses the needs of our union.

Solidarity will be essential to achieving these goals.

Our IAM Local 1725’s Women’s Committee hosted its inaugural Women’s Expo in Charlotte, NC, to recognize Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a day focused on education, empowerment, and community.

Women’s Committee Chair Lisa Leathers, along with committee members Debra Stubblefield and Christy Harder, welcomed speakers covering health and fitness, financial wellness, estate planning, and resources available through local domestic violence advocacy organization Esther House. IAM District 141 Regional EAP Representative Kendall Tuckett spoke about the importance of mental health and how members and their families can use the resources our Employee Assistance Program provides.

The committee also welcomed special guest Dee Colbert, IAM Women and Young Workers Director, who joined members for a day focused on building stronger connections and ensuring women throughout our union know they have a network of support around them.

From protecting our health and planning for our futures to knowing where to turn when help is needed, this inaugural expo reminded us that solidarity means showing up for the whole person—not just the worker.

Good morning, Sisters and Brothers at United Airlines,

We are reaching out specifically to members working under the Central Load Planner, Passenger Service, and Fleet Service agreements.

Last week, we concluded a highly successful Union Survey on United negotiations and your priorities for a future tentative agreement. We received thousands of responses, even more than we collected when we first canvassed the Union Membership for proposals in 2024. Thank you to every member who took the time to participate.

Over the next several weeks, we will review every survey response and comment.

We have also contacted the Company to secure dates for negotiations. United has indicated that it is working through priorities on its side, and we currently anticipate initial meetings between late in the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Once we have completed our review of the survey feedback and confirmed bargaining dates, we will send another update.
