Eaton Community Palliative Care Thrift Store

Eaton Community Palliative Care Thrift Store ECPC Thrift Store and Announcements. Welcome and thank you for visiting our page! Cochran Charlotte, MI 48813

and

The Christmas Shoppe ~ 2615 S.

On this page we will feature items that may be purchased outside of the stores as well as promote items that are available for purchase at the stores. Our Main Thrift Store located in the garage and basement of our hospice house ~

2675 S. Cochran Charlotte, MI 48813.

*All items available for purchase outside of the stores will state so.

*If prices are negotiable, the post will indicate that.

*Some pictures/posts will only be to promote items currently available in the store. They will not be available for purchase, hold, pick-up, etc unless you personally visit the store it is located in. Why do we post photos of items that cannot be purchased or held via the post? Our inventory is constantly changing. We may post an item to Facebook only for a customer to come behind us and buy it. We cannot always guarantee that an item is available by the time you see it in your feed. We do welcome phone calls and messages to verify if an item is available.

*We do our best to keep our prices affordable and reasonable. 100% of the money made by thrift store and The Christmas Shoppe sales help offset the cost of providing around the clock care to the terminally ill and those who are no longer able to remain safely in their homes.

*Negative comments will result in you either being blocked or removed from the page.

*This page is not for people to post items they have for sale. It is only for use of the ECPC Thrift Stores.

*We welcome donations of gently used items that are in good, re-sellable condition (no rips, tears, stains, etc. WE DO NOT have the ability to repair items).

*Donations are received during hours of operation (Tues-Sat, 10a-4p) inside our collection room at
2675 S. Cochran Charlotte, MI 48813. THRIFT STORE DONATION GUIDELINES

Making Your Donations Go Further

We greatly appreciate your contributions! Each donation helps us care for terminally ill patients, those who can no longer safely remain in their homes, and their families. By following a few easy guidelines you can make your donation go further to benefit Eaton Community Palliative Care.

• Questioning your Donation? Check with us before donating. We are happy to discuss what you have to donate and decide if it matches our needs.
• In general, all donated items should be gently used, clean, and in working condition.
• Clothing should be washed or dry-cleaned. Remove lint and pet hair, fold neatly, and place in bags or boxes.
• Furniture must be in good condition. It must be structurally sound and have no stains, rips or holes.
• Ensure product safety. Electrical items, sports, medical and exercise equipment, and children’s goods should all be examined carefully and tested before donating. The Consumers’ Product Safety Commission is a good place to check on product safety issues. Some items may be unsafe to reuse (for example: a toy that has been recalled, a damaged bike helmet, or wood painted with lead based paint).
• If your donation is electronics, small appliances, or battery-operated items make sure they work. We do not have volunteers available to repair these items. If you donate a broken item, it can be expensive for us to properly dispose of it.
• Unusable/Hazardous goods: When unusable or hazardous goods are donated to the Eaton Community Thrift Shop the cost for proper disposal of these items reduces funds that could otherwise support our efforts in caring for patients and their families.
• Other Donations NOT accepted: Upright pianos, organs, non-working appliances, console stereos, TVs (some exceptions are made for the new flat screen TVs) wet or soiled clothing, soiled, ripped or torn upholstery furniture or bedding, particleboard/pressed wood/chipboard furniture including entertainment centers, outdated playpens/cribs or child safety seats, computers, printers, fax machines. All donations should be suitable for resale.
