It's hard to believe we are already starting to think about Christmas, but this year, the New Leaf Foundation is hosting our annual Adopt a Child for Christmas event in December to bring Christmas presents to children in need in Charlotte, NC. Gearing up for the party to get started in T-minus 15 minutes! Due to COVID, we have many folks out in the parking lot and we are letting a few people in at a time to get their gifts and some hot Christmas dinner!

WOW! We've had an incredible day here at the New Leaf Foundation! Hopefully, you'll be blessed by hearing about it.
Today we met with a single mother who, quite frankly, we shouldn't have been meeting with. First of all, she didn't meet our criteria, and secondly the monetary need she had no longer existed. So not only should we have not taken the meeting, but she should have canceled it. But God had other plans!!!
As the meeting was coming to an end, Pastor Kenneth Gilliard felt led to ask her if she was reading her Bible every day. She replied that she was not. She went on to explain that the times she had read the Bible, she just didn't understand what she was reading. This led into a conversation that revealed that she had never accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. After lots of questions, answers, and conversation, our single mom prayed the sinner's prayer and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior!!! Hallelujah!!!
We have helped so many families recently and over our many years of serving those in need. But this may have been our most important encounter ever. An eternal soul will now spend eternity in heaven in the presence of God. It just doesn't get any better than that! Please join with us in praising God and praying for this new believer. Amen!
