Today, Isaiah Carmichael, Project Manager of Leah's Hopes and Dreams, had the honor of speaking at the Coke Red Classic Juneteenth Celebration about the significance of Juneteenth and what freedom means in our communities today.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not just a moment in history—it is an ongoing journey toward dignity, opportunity, and hope for all people. While we celebrate the resilience and triumph of those who came before us, we are also reminded of the responsibility we have to continue uplifting our neighbors and creating pathways to success.

At Leah's Hopes and Dreams, we strive to honor that legacy every day through our mobile outreach services, transitional housing programs, mobile medical outreach, food distribution, clothing assistance, and community support. Just as Juneteenth represents liberation and new beginnings, our mission is to help individuals and families overcome barriers, regain stability, and move toward brighter futures.

Thank you to Red Classic for providing a space to celebrate, reflect, educate, and inspire. Together, we can continue building stronger communities rooted in compassion, service, and opportunity.

Today was a truly special day! Through the grace of God, Leah’s Hopes and Dreams had the honor of blessing two outstanding students from L.N. Coakley High School in Exuma with college scholarships as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey.

A few years ago, we started this scholarship program through the Johnson Family Foundation, and we are grateful to be able to continue this process annually, helping deserving students pursue their educational goals and dreams.

We are incredibly proud of these graduates and their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Investing in our youth is investing in the future, and we are excited to see all that God has in store for them.

Congratulations to both scholarship recipients! Continue to dream big, work hard, and trust God to guide your path. Your community is cheering you on every step of the way.

A special thank you to Inspired Dentistry of Charlotte for supporting our mission and helping make opportunities like this possible. 🚑💙 The Leah’s Hopes & Dreams Medical Mobile Unit is hitting the streets of Charlotte! 💙🚑

This Saturday, June 20, beginning at 7:00 AM, our Medical Mobile Unit will be on-site providing health resources and support to members of our community.

📍 Location: 125 Wadsworth Place, Charlotte, NC

Our goal is simple: to meet people where they are and provide access to care, education, resources, and hope. Whether you need a basic health screening, health education, community resources, or simply someone who cares, we’re here to serve.

At Leah’s Hopes & Dreams, we believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate care and support regardless of their circumstances.

Today was an incredible day of learning, empowerment, and preparation!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Felita for facilitating such an outstanding CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification Course for the men in our transitional home and our house managers. Your passion, patience, and thorough approach to teaching ensured that everyone not only received certification but also gained the confidence and knowledge needed to respond in emergency situations.

We are grateful for the time you invested, the practical skills you shared, and the encouragement you provided throughout the training. The lessons learned today have equipped us to better serve, protect, and care for those in our community.

At Leah’s Hopes & Dreams, we believe that empowering people with life-saving skills creates stronger, safer communities. Today was a perfect example of that mission in action.

Today was another incredible day of serving our neighbors, and we are filled with gratitude for those who made it possible.

A heartfelt thank you to Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, Daneshia Walker, and her Life Group for sponsoring today’s outreach with Leah’s Hopes and Dreams. Your generosity, compassion, and willingness to serve helped us provide food, encouragement, and hope to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community.

Because of partners like you, we are able to continue our mission of loving, serving, and supporting our neighbors with dignity and care. Thank you for not only giving, but for being the hands and feet of Christ and making a meaningful impact in the lives of so many.

What a phenomenal Wednesday Hands and Feet serve with LHD! We served 150 individuals today and the energy was incredible.

Huge shout out to Pastor Greg for mobilizing donations from . Thank you to for bringing clothes—we gave away so much today.

Special thanks to the Aggies and Eagles from and . You students are impressing us every single time, bringing more and more people to serve with us. We really appreciate you.
