We usually have a July 4th party but we need someone to run this event which includes setting up a table for the pizza, putting the drinks out, passing out ice cream treats, and playing the music from your phone or iPad through the speaker. Community Yard Sale Saturday
May 10 8AM - Noon

Time to turn those less used items into a little extra cash. The community will be advertising the yard sale to attract buyers. Please note that each participant is required to have a yard sale permit from Mecklenburg county.

I know how hard it can be to pull kids away from their screens, especially in the summer. That’s why I created Fit for Life Summer Camp—a place where middle schoolers can unplug, get outside, and actually love being active!

At camp, your child will:

♣️♦️ Southampton Poker League - Every Tuesday in February! ♠️♥️
Dear Neighbors,
Get ready to shuffle up and deal! We’re excited to announce the Southampton Poker League, happening every Tuesday night in February at 7:30 PM in the clubhouse.
Whether you’re a seasoned poker player or just want to join the fun, this is your chance to connect with neighbors and enjoy a great game in a friendly, no-pressure environment.
Here’s the deal:
When: Every Tuesday in February at 7:30 PM
Where: Southampton Clubhouse
Format: Tournament-style Texas Hold’em (no money or buy-in involved—strictly for fun!)
Scoring: Earn points based on your exit position each week. First Out = 1 point, Second Out = 2 Points,... Last Out=A point for each player in the tournament that evening. The player with the most points after four weeks will be crowned Southampton’s Best Poker Player and will receive a trophy to prove it!
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet new friends, show off your poker face, and have a blast. Bring your best game (and any beverage or snacks that you may need) and let’s make it a February to remember.
RSVP is not required—just show up and play!

Summer fun continues at FIT for LIFE summer camp for rising 6-9th grades.
We have been busy playing dodgeball variations, camouflage, kickball, team 4 square, man hunt, water polo, blind trust walks, taking time to practice breathing and its importance, using lavender rags to relax and refresh, and chats. They kept using the term “gas lighting” so we took the opportunity to define, explain, describe warning signs, and actions if you find yourself in a gaslight relationship. I wish these topics were taught when I was their age.

A new secret talent was revealed: professional catching food in the mouth.
