Art meets impact.

The launch of fftc:FWD isn’t just about a platform, it’s about a movement shaped by community voices and creative vision.

At the Community Impact Summit, local artists behind the fftc:FWD logo and folio covers shared the meaning behind their designs: capturing connection, momentum and the power of collective action in Charlotte.

Their work reflects what fftc:FWD stands for: making it easier to see the needs, find your role and take the lead in building stronger communities.

Our president, Laura Yates Clark, recently delivered the commencement address at Wingate University, sharing reflections shaped by leadership, service and experience.

Her message reminded graduates that “it’s OK to not know” and that growth often comes through the journey itself. She encouraged students to trust what they have learned, believe in themselves and pursue lives grounded in purpose and service.

Thank you to Wingate for inviting Laura to share her story, and congratulations to the Wingate University Class of 2026 as you step into what comes next!

Leadership grows when people from different sectors come together with trust and purpose.

Join us as we celebrate the commencement of Class XXIV of the American Leadership Forum Charlotte Region! 14 new Senior Fellows were welcomed into a network of more than 450 leaders shaping our 13-county region.

Through a yearlong experience rooted in dialogue, reflection and relationship building, ALF continues to strengthen collaborative leadership across the Carolinas.

We are thrilled that Alexandra Russell, our Board & Grants Specialist, was part of this cohort!

“ALF gave me the opportunity to learn and reflect alongside people with different backgrounds and perspectives who I am now grateful to call my friends. Building these authentic relationships is the foundation for collaborative leadership and helps create effective change.” - Alex Russell

Congratulations to the newest Senior Fellows and thank you to the partners and alumni who make this work possible!
