A Bold Overture: Maestro Stefano Vignati Named General Director of Opera Carolina
Opera Carolina is officially entering an exciting new era for its 77th season, appointing its current Music Director and Principal Conductor, Maestro Stefano Vignati, as its new General Director. Under Vignati's leadership, the company aims to blend artistic excellence with financial stability, community outreach, and international partnerships. The highly anticipated upcoming season features a powerhouse lineup, including Mozart’s Requiem, Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium starring Denyce Graves, and a season-ending production of Verdi’s La Traviata. Looking to the future, the organization is also launching a comprehensive "Be the Heart of Opera Carolina" fundraising campaign alongside new, accessible community programs to bring the magic of opera directly to the Charlotte region.
