In 2010 the Dickson County Ministerial Alliance gave birth to the Dickson County Jail Chaplaincy project designed to provide the Dickson County Jail with an on-site chaplain to minister to its inmates and staff at no cost to the county. The chaplaincy is supported by churches in our county from different denominations demonstrating remarkable unity in the body of Christ for the purpose of his work

in the jail. The chaplain organizes approximately volunteers who provide not only Bible studies, but drug and alcohol recovery classes, parenting classes, adult education programs, Journey to Freedom, and re-entry programs for inmates. The positive impact of the chaplaincy to the overall jail environment has been testified to by the inmates and staff alike. Please pray for this important ministry. The message during Friday's church service was "Keeper of the Gate"! Jesus moved mightily in both services! We had 3 receive salvation and be baptized! A special thanks to Taylor Griffin for being used of God as an interpreter for one of our unmates who could not speak English! God will make a way and we give him all praise!

The Lord moved mightily in Friday's church services! Two accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! As we start a new week of classes, bible studies and church services, pray for our Chaplin and volunteers to be used by God and for him to prepare the hearts and minds of those who will receive the hope we have in Jesus Christ!

Last night, we completed another 6-week session of Faith-Based Trauma Healing at the Dickson County Jail. What a powerful reminder of God's love, grace, and transforming power!

During this session, five ladies accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and were baptized, and six ladies received applications and acceptance letters to long-term Christian rehabilitation programs.

We are witnessing lives being changed, hearts being healed, and hope being restored through the power of Jesus Christ. We give Him all the praise, glory, and honor for the incredible work He is doing within these walls.

Please continue to pray for these women as they begin their journey of healing, restoration, and new life in Christ. ❤️🙏

Tonight, our Chaplin and 3 of our volunteers attended a former inmate's graduation from Women of Worth (a long term Christian Rehab). Our ministry and support doesn't stop when they leave the facility, it goes beyond jail walls. We continue to support them with the next steps of healing. We give Jesus all praise, glory and honor!
