Friends of Feral Felines (FFF) was founded in 1998 and is an all volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Charlotte, NC committed to the humane management of feral/stray community cats through a method called Trap, Neuter, & Return (TNR). We educate the public about community cats and TNR, and we help the public trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and return community cats to their outside

homes.

**Please note that FFF is not a foster, rescue, or animal shelter. We assist with TNR but we do not intake or relocate kittens/cats. Our goal is to improve the lives of community/feral cats through Trap, Neuter, & Return (TNR) in and around Charlotte, NC.

Do you have community cats hanging around your neighborhood?

Now is the time to look into TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return)!!!!

These cats may not “belong” to anyone, but they still rely on us. When they cross our path, we all have a chance to be part of the solution — even when it’s inconvenient.

You don’t need prior experience to get started. Many of our volunteers began with zero background in TNVR and are now making a real difference for cats in their own neighborhoods.

The good news? You’re not alone. Friends of Feral Felines is here to help with guidance, resources, and support every step of the way.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️🤍💙

As many of us gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, don’t forget about the community cats depending on kind humans to survive.

🐱 Hot weather, kitten season, and overflowing shelters make this one of the hardest times of year for outdoor cats.

You can help by:
✔️ Putting out fresh food & water
✔️ Providing shade and shelter
✔️ Spaying/neutering community cats
✔️ Helping prevent more kittens from being born outside

💛 Meet Franklin 💛

Franklin is an FIV+ sweetheart with the personality of a little dog in a cat’s body. He’s affectionate, playful, curious, and loves wand toys, lap time, and snuggling in bed. ❤️

This busy boy enjoys wrestling and playing with other young cats, but he’d also do well as a solo cat in an active home with lots of enrichment. His favorite place is the catio, where he can safely watch the world go by.

Franklin is neutered, vaccinated, healthy, and has excellent house manners. While FIV sounds scary, it is not spread through casual contact like sharing bowls, grooming, or litter boxes. Many FIV+ and FIV- cats live together safely and happily. 💛

Franklin has been waiting patiently for his forever home — could it be with you?

Need a lap warmer, cuddle buddy, and expert bird watcher? Rusty is your guy. ❤️

Estimated to be 5–7 years old, Rusty was found outside in rough shape but has since been treated, neutered, vaccinated, combo tested negative, and had a dental completed.

He loves belly rubs, brushing, soft beds, window watching, and giving the best hugs. Rusty is calm, affectionate, and ready for a quiet home where he can finally relax and be loved. 💛

After spending months living in a cage, Rusty deserves his happy ending.

Join Friends of Feral Felines for a Trapper Certification Course! 🐾

Participants will watch the official Neighborhood Cats TNR Certification Workshop through Community Cats Central and complete a short quiz afterward. Those who pass the quiz will become TNR certified and receive their certificate via email.

We are asking for a suggested $10 donation to help cover costs and support our community cat efforts, but we never want cost to be a barrier to learning. If you’re unable to donate, you are still absolutely welcome to attend.

Whether you’re brand new to TNR or looking to get officially certified, we’d love to have you join us!

JB spent the last year living outdoors after being TNVR’d, cared for by someone who made sure he always had food, shelter, and love. After two serious injuries, it was decided this sweet boy deserved a chance at indoor life — and he’s adapting beautifully! ❤️

JB is 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and combo negative. He enjoys pets, brushing, feather toys, and even watching Cat TV. He’s a quiet, low-key guy who would do best in a calm home and may do well with another mellow cat. 💛

We would love to see JB find a forever home so he never has to return outside again.

Fix by FOUR (MONTHS) — That’s All It Takes 🐾

We know every May, kittens born early in the year begin reaching sexual maturity and join the breeding cycle in our city.

‼️ Four months ‼️

That’s all it takes before female cats can become part of the next wave of litters — and a “siren call” for every unaltered male in the area.

So many well-meaning people take in kittens to keep them safe, only to later realize they need vaccinations, vet care, and spay/neuter — and suddenly the situation becomes overwhelming.

🐾 Don’t forget Mom + Dad cats matter too: Fixing kittens alone is not enough to stop the cycle.

To truly prevent more litters, it’s essential to:
✔️ Spay the mom cat
✔️ Neuter the dad cat
✔️ Fix ALL free-roaming cats in the area

If the adults aren’t fixed, new litters will continue to appear — even if kittens are removed or adopted out.
