Come out to Noda Brewing on April 30th to support Sticks and Stones! Noda Brewing will donate one dollar from every pint sold to help support these great athletes!

According to the Charlotte Curling Association, the athletes will compete against the eight returning 2019 National Team members for a spot on the 2020 National Wheelchair Curling Team.

Welcome to our page!

Sticks and stones curling is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the adaptive sport of wheelchair curling. Our immediate mission is to raise funds to support the travel and competitions of a local Charlotte area wheelchair curling team and to expand awareness and involvement in the sport. Our long term goals include the formation of regional teams with which to hold more frequent regional bonspiels. We are also interested in nurturing and supporting the next generation of Paralympic wheelchair curlers. We currently have several members who attended the national pre-trials, and one who is on the Paralympics developmental team.

Wheelchair curling is unique in that it is a sport that can accommodate a wide range of disabilities, and we make a point at Sticks and Stones to include those with nontraditional injuries or diseases other than those usually seen in the adaptive sports world. In fact, it is part of our mission to be more inclusive of those with a wide variety of disabilities.
