You ARE Family - A Story of True Caring.

Shavua Tov, our weekly story with Rabbi Weiss

10/09/2026

This week is Shabbat Bereish*t, when we return to the opening portion of the Torah: “In the beginning.”

The Rebbe taught that how we approach this Shabbat sets the tone for the entire year.

We’ve prayed, reflected, celebrated and danced. Now we get to bring that energy home. Into our relationships. Into our routines. Into the choices we make when life gets busy again.

Start with something you can carry forward. Light Shabbat candles before sunset. Share a meal. Make time for Torah. Choose one mitzvah to make your own.

A year of meaningful Jewish living begins with the next thing we do.

Shabbat Shalom, Charlotte! Let’s begin with purpose.

Inscribed on our Torah Mantle at Chabad:

In loving memory of the souls of our people who were murdered sanctifying God’s Holy Name in the terrible massacre of Simchat Torah 5784 • October 7, 2023

Their memory is in our hearts and their souls will dance forever in the joy of the Torah.
