🎃👻 Halloween fun is popping up all over the place, and we want to help spread the word!

If your church, school, business, neighborhood, organization, or community group has a Halloween event coming up, drop the details in the comments so others can find it too. 🍬🕸️

Trunk-or-treats, fall festivals, costume contests, haunted houses, community parties, trick-or-treat stops - if it’s happening, tell us about it!

Halloween is on the way! 🎃🍂

It might seem harmless - even helpful - to toss an old pumpkin into the woods for wildlife to enjoy, but it’s better to dispose of it another way.

Leaving pumpkins and other food in natural areas can attract wildlife closer to people and roads, encourage animals to gather around human-provided food, and interfere with their normal feeding habits. As pumpkins begin to rot, they can also contribute to mold, bacteria, and unnecessary waste in the woods.

When Halloween is over and your pumpkin has seen better days, consider composting it instead. 🌱

A small choice can make a big difference in keeping our natural spaces cleaner and safer for wildlife.

The 10th Annual Wicked Fast 5K is coming up on Saturday, October 10 at 6:00 PM - and whether you’re racing, walking, dressing up, or just coming out for the Halloween fun, everyone is welcome! ⚡🚶‍♀️

Costumes are encouraged, all ages and abilities are invited, and it’s a great way to be part of one of Troutman’s favorite fall traditions. 🎉

The 3rd Annual Ham Day is coming up Saturday, October 3rd, and Troutman Cafe is proud to be part of it alongside the National Exchange Club!

For just $5, you’ll get TWO ham biscuits while helping support service and outreach right here in our community. ❤️

Pickup will be from 7 AM–1 PM at the Troutman Event Center, 105 N. Main Street, or until they sell out.

🚨 HELP US CHOOSE THE OFFICIAL LOGO! 🚨

This is a BIG one! 🌶️❤️☕

We’ve narrowed it down to two final logo options for Love & Chili for Change, and now we want YOU to help us decide which one should become the official event logo moving forward!

Love & Chili for Change will be held every January, with our next event coming up on January 16, 2027. 🎉

The winning logo will represent the event year after year and will also be featured on shirts available for purchase at the event.

And this event is about more than just good food and a great time. ❤️
Each year, a charity will be chosen prior to the event, and profits from Love & Chili for Change will be donated to that organization.

After our first Love & Chili for Change event, we received feedback from vendors about things that simply needed to be better. We listened to those concerns, took them seriously, and we are making changes for this year’s event. 🙌

Our goal is to create an experience that feels organized, welcoming, worthwhile, and enjoyable for the vendors and sponsors who choose to be part of it. We know your time, products, energy, and investment matter.

🎃🍂 Fall fun is coming to Troutman!

The Town of Troutman is hosting a Scarecrow Building Contest on Saturday, September 26 at 10:00 AM at Troutman ESC Park, 338 North Ave.

Bring your own scarecrow clothing and decorations, and the rest of the supplies will be provided. Gather your family, friends, or a team and get creative building a one-of-a-kind scarecrow together!

🏆 Winning scarecrows will be displayed at Troutman Town Hall throughout October.

This is a FREE event, but registration is required so organizers can plan for supplies. Be sure to RSVP and include the number of people on your scarecrow-building team:

We’re already looking ahead to making our 2027 Love & Chili for Change event bigger, smoother, and even better — and we want YOU to be part of it! 🌶️❤️

One of the biggest things we learned from our first event was just how important it is to listen.

We heard the concerns and feedback from our vendors, participants, and community, and we’re taking that feedback seriously. Changes are being made to address key concerns because our goal isn’t simply to host another event — we want to build something that can continue growing year after year and become a tradition our community looks forward to. 🙌

We are currently looking for:

🌶️ Vendors — only 10 spots available for $25
🤝 Business sponsors
🎶 Acoustic musicians interested in performing

Vendor spaces include two 4-foot tables arranged in an L shape, or you may bring your own 6-foot table.
