We love sharing fun local events for families in our community! 🌿🎨
The Town of Troutman Parks & Recreation is hosting a Nature Art Mini-Camp with Joey Dill of Studio 73 Carolina LLC, and it looks like such a creative outdoor experience for young artists.
Students ages 8–14 will get to explore nature while learning hands-on art techniques in a fun, messy, creative environment.
Camp details:
👩‍🎨 Ages: 8–14
📅 Dates: June 8–9
⏰ Time: 10:00am–12:00pm
📍 Location: Troutman Parks & Recreation Outdoor Patio
334 North Ave, Troutman
💵 Cost: $45 per person
Camp highlights include:
🌱 Creating natural paints using items like coffee, paprika, blueberries, and more
🎨 Designing a watercolor masterpiece using handmade paints
🍃 Using flowers and leaves as stamps to create fine art on paper
🌸 Building a botanical collage and mandala with pressed flowers, beans, pebbles, and natural elements

🚲✨ Sharing a great FREE family event coming up at Troutman Town Hall!

Kids Bike Safety Fair
Saturday, May 9
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Troutman Town Hall

Bring the kids, their bikes, and helmets for a fun morning focused on bike safety! Families can visit different stations to:

🚲 Learn about minor bike repairs
👮 Meet a police officer and hear about bike & road safety
🏘️ Ride through Safety Town
🎨 Enjoy a bike safety art station

Please sign up online so organizers know you’re coming — children who register will receive a free gift!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month - this is a gentle reminder that what you’re feeling matters.

Life doesn’t always feel light and easy. Some days are heavy. Some seasons are harder than others. And sometimes, it’s not even easy to explain why.
