Right Moves For Youth has been awarded a renewal grant of $50,000 grant from the NBA Foundation and the Charlotte Hornets! Thank you so much!
We’re incredibly grateful for this continued support from the league—a relationship that goes back years, including being chosen as Lebron James’ charity during the 2019 NBA All-Star Game right here in Charlotte.
This generous gift helps us keep showing up for students in deep, meaningful ways—providing mentorship, connection, and a path to a brighter future.

Right Moves For Youth (RMFY) welcomes new Executive Director Aisha Strothers to the team today!

Aisha's 25-plus years of experience in youth development, fundraising and organizational leadership are an extraordinary fit to the mission & vision of RMFY.

Our Board & Staff are excited about Aisha's leadership into our 38th year (and beyond!) of mentoring students in the greater Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.

Right Moves for Youth (RMFY) is thrilled to announce our new Executive Director and Board Chair!

Aisha Strothers, an accomplished nonprofit executive with more than 25 years of experience in youth development, fundraising, and organizational leadership, will start as RMFY Executive Director on August 3rd. Most recently, as Executive Director of Greater Steps Scholars in Charlotte, she led strategic planning, strengthened board engagement, and grew the organization's budget and community impact.

Demetrius Wilson, Executive Director of Payments Products at Wells Fargo and Tennessee State University Foundation Board member is our new Chair of the Board of Directors, as of July 1st. A RMFY Board member for 5 years, Demetrius has served as Vice Chair for the past two years.

Together, Aisha and Demetrius bring exceptional vision, deep community roots, and a shared commitment to Charlotte's youth.
