⛺️🦅 A weekend full of adventure, learning, and a whole lot of walking! 🥾🍫

We spent the weekend camping at Lake Hartwell State Park and headed over to Clemson University for an awesome merit badge experience. Our Scouts worked hard, learned new skills, and earned merit badges along the way! 🎖️

While the Scouts were busy learning, the adults got to explore Clemson University and take a beautiful walk through the South Carolina Botanical Gardens. 🌿🌺

Between camping, learning, exploring, S’mores, good food, and plenty of miles on our feet, it was the perfect Scout weekend! ❤️

So proud of these Scouts for continuing to learn, challenge themselves, and make memories along the way.

Such a great day at Stevens Creek Nature Preserve in Mint Hill! 🌿🥾

We got in 4 miles in 1 hour and 45 minutes, enjoyed some beautiful weather, and made some great memories along the way. ❤️

Even better, it was the perfect way to kick off Scouts again! So happy to be back outside, exploring, learning, serving, and making memories together. 🏕️⚜️

Here’s to a new year of adventures, growth, and plenty of miles ahead! 💜

Welcome back, Troop 490!

We had a great first meeting today! We talked about summer camp, NYLT, and all the exciting plans ahead for the year.

These young leaders came prepared, motivated, and ready to take on new challenges. We are so proud of the leadership they are already showing and cannot wait to see what this year has in store for them!

Here’s to another year of growth, leadership, adventure, and making memories together! ⚜️

Today, we partially accomplished an Eagle Project for the Marching Band at Union Academy Charter School! 🎺🥁
The band will now have much-needed additional space to store instruments and gear in this huge new cabinet. While we didn’t quite finish everything today and the doors will be completed at a later date, that’s part of what these projects are all about.
Eagle Projects provide so much more than the finished product. They create opportunities to learn, problem-solve, adapt when things don’t go as planned, and work together as a team. Today brought plenty of laughter, good conversations, and a lot of encouragement as everyone supported one another through the final steps of Abraham’s journey toward Eagle.
We are so proud of the effort, leadership, and perseverance that went into today’s project. One more step closer to Eagle! 🦅

Early morning start working on the Exploration Merit Badge! Today our Scouts learned the difference between adventure and exploration while planning a future outdoor trip.
The crew is preparing for an exciting outing to Galax, Virginia, where they'll paddle an 8.5-mile section of the scenic New River, explore the trails at New River State Park, and discover some of the area's beautiful waterfalls.
Planning is a key part of every successful adventure, and these Scouts are building the skills they'll use to safely explore the outdoors for years to come. 🛶🥾🌿

Three of our Scouts spent the past six days at 🏕️ NYLT Camp, backpacking three miles each day, cooking their own meals on the trail, and building valuable leadership and teamwork skills.
Throughout the week, they challenged themselves, gained confidence, and learned that a successful Scout has a vision and the ability to set meaningful goals. Graduation was filled with smiles, laughter, and the celebration of new friendships formed with Scouts from other troops.
We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to growing as leaders. Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment! 👏⚜️
