National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD) is dedicated to raising awareness about the disproportionate impact of HIV on Black and African American communities in the United States. First observed in 1999, NBHAAD highlights the importance of community involvement and improved access to HIV education, prevention, testing, and treatment services.

World AIDS Day is a time to remember and honor those who have died from AIDS-related illness and renew our commitment to ending the HIV epidemic.

This year's theme is "Collective Action: Sustain and Accelerate HIV Progress", which challenges us to continue to work in community to sustain and accelerate our progress in the fight against the spread of HIV and HIV-related stigma.
